After VU9: Don't do it!
I used to get excellent results very often before VU9. Right now I gave up as hits on duals were very very very very low. Just save your peds. Unless you are on CND, it still gives me excellent results. In fact I get more hits "dualing" other people's claims then when I mine in an empty dome. ![]() Oh and few facts on dual bombing in case you were asking yourself: 1. Yes you can find bigger claim when you dual bomb something small (but as said it has become very very very very rare) 2. Yes new claim can be found at a greather depth 3. No, changing a finder after a NRF will not help you (kinda belongs under dual bombing I think) Have fun and may I tower soon... I mean, good luck to all. ![]() |

I still have a fair amount of luck with double-bombing, but as you said, it seems to depends on location. Atm for me, the 2nd hit rate on Eudoria is very low, on CND I didn't get a single 2nd hit, but on Amethera the 2nd hit rate is still fairly high.
GL on your quest for a tower! |

Just a little more advice - when you drop look how far away the claim is, you find closest horizontally outwards so i will bomb again if 20m or under away from drop point.
If the claim is further than 20m either don't bother to redrop, or if you do run 40-50m past the claim before dropping to get maximum coverage. I'm still getting hits on double drops but yep, not as many as pre VU. ![]() |

If you mean dropping a bomb after finding a claim at the claim site, I have done some experiments and the results showed that the chance of getting another find halved for every claim. So if your average hit rate is 28% then the chance to find a second claim will be 14% and a third will be 7%
After I learned this I never drop on a claim, unless its a rare claim. If you mean dropping a probe after getting an NRF from a bomb or vice versa then interesting, I stick to either or but have heard of people getting good results from this way of mining. |

It's the player activity that determines claim spots. When a player finds a claim, it spawns elsewhere on its spawn area, so it's no VU's fault, blaim the players
![]() Haven't been rebombing much, since I realized it wasn't wise.. Random rebombs now and then when I feel like one. So don't know how's it changed. You get the picture here? A big spawn area, people mine it and the claims change positions, sometimes they spawn quite close to others, rebombing the spot gives you claims. And why couldn't the same claim spawn at the same spot too.. ![]() Go figure.. |

Hi all,
Yea, i "feel" difference in rebombing lastly. But 2 days ago got global from second bomb Some rules i use: only when first rod is close ~30 m and first claim is V or bigger. In truth, sometimes i rebomb smaller claims but mainly nrf and it is jus maked by rush, no cold calculation ![]() And lastly oldes style work for me - after finding claim i run 10 to east an fire bomb. Work, but not always. Net |
