Lyst, Lyst nothing but Lyst

After droping 300 bombs the only ore i seem to be finding is Lyst. (Although i did hit a XIV which took a while to get out) Is it me, or is it my OreSeeker 101?

I´m not a pro miner but as i know the 101OF have a search Depth of 263.7 m
and lyst is a ore that is mostly found in this depth...so no wonder that this is the ore you found most...but try another area... if your skills are good enought you may also try another finder... a L maybe ?

Different areas of calypso offer different ores and enmats.

You could be mining in an area where there arent many different types of ores other then a basic lyst.

You should see different ores with a better finder or maybe going to a new location.

Well, gratz on your claims, it's nice to get something bigger than a very poor

Anyway, try to mine different zones to know what minerals are there. If you search the forum you will find maps that people posted, use them to planificate your next run and look for different ores.

A finder change can help you too, just look if you have it maxed, take a look at 211(L) it's a nice and cheap finder to get some skills, nearly all the common ores can be found with it and it lasts a lot of bombs.

But basically explore, and try to remember good places for different ores. Or get one of those map applications and register ur claims.

It depends on your location mostly, but you definitely will find more lyst with the lower finders. If you are finding absolutely nothing other than lyst 100% of the time, try a little bit of mining to the north of the TI Castle tp and see what happens

Thank you all, I'm going to try a compleatly new area for my next run, also gonna try get a better finder but that might need to wait till the following run (skill is only 1.1 need 1.5 for the 211).

It would be much easier if you could tell us what level in prospecting you are (pro standings - star icon in action library).

Question is if your seeker is well chosen for the skills you have. Seems to be this is first problem. See how your skills match 211(L) seeker and try it out. Lyst is common on depth you can go to with 101 and this may be the reason.

Second thing - change locations. Try to mine a bit of Ametherea, I think you are doing mostly Eudoria.
If you mine TI you will get no lyst there. Go to New Switzerland or Oshiri (lyst is only south of tp). You can find in the net information about resources on LAs. Make sure LA is not dead (it needs to be fertilized to be good for mining) and try them out.

well considering your using a 101 ill assume your a noob

As you get more experience you will find the places with high markup ores and places where lyst is
So the trick is to mine the high markup ore spots and avoid the lyst areas, the downside is the fact that the high markup spots are heavily mined...
