Oil is mostly what you will get for now.

You need to build up your skills so you can use better finders.

The TT finder will mostly only find Oil, Garcen and Melchi


When I was beginning I used to find Garcen Grease east of Camp Phoenix.


One tip I will give you is:

Go as far away from Teleporters as possible.

The further away, the better chance you have of finding a claim someone else hasn't yet.

It's called playing the Odd's. You have to use your intuition to guess spots people havn't minded recently.

But it still always comes down to luck. But you will have better luck if you do that.

There are resources everywhere, anywhere you can drop a probe or bomb can hit a resource. The best advice is to go out and explore, you learn by doing. Do it with probes and you can learn with a smaller risk.

The number one mining skill in this game is your own knowledge of where to mine. Even if someone tells you where xxx might be, its not good enough.

Imo, you're better off waiting a while to mine that area. If you're killed by another player there, you'll lose anything you've found up until that point (if anything) as well as the 5ped you have to pay to be able to enter that zone.

No, Anything stackable except, Money, ammo, probes, mines. Will be taken from you if your killed.

So even if you got a HOF in PVP4... If a green dot shows up on your radar, you can be 99% sure that you'll be dead within 20 seconds.

It also costs 5PED to get a special anti-toxin shot, that allows you to enter that zone without being killed by the toxic air.

But if your killed by someone, that shot will wear off and you'll have to buy another.

So I would suggest not going their yet.

pvp4 can be fun tho, as long as you accept the risk and don't cry when someone kills you. Its an adreneline rush mining in there. Ive made more then ive lost there, tho my last dozen or so tries have all been garbage return even tho i wasnt killed. First few dozen times tho were nice, even if i was pked a few times, never lost much tho.

I can be one hell of an adrenaline rush. My heart beat like it wanted to jump out of my chest when I got an Angelic HOF in there. But, yeah, while it can be fun and an adrenaline rush, you really shouldn't be in there if you don't want to risk losing anything you may find.
