I also only tell soc and a few people from my FL...Mostly because i hate overcrowded spots and have usually had terrible results in such places.
And also like already said in this thread, the Thrill, Excitement and the moment of Triumph you get when you click that unknown claim deed and see that its something rare and valuable should be something every miner searches and looks forward to

Wasnt there a "test" of somekind about this recently ? That after a NRF with TT-finder the spot was always also a NRF with a high-end finder ?

It was tk220 and TT finder, some 200 bombs... not a single hit with different finder after the first bomb went NRF. I know cuz it was my experiment.

As for Tridenite I don't know about globals but I know holy lootious land has Tridenite... that one above akmul populated by small electric disc critters.

And I know someone who found some using OF105 but I was unable to find any using tk220

you know, everyone have a different conception on "HOW MINNING WORKS" question. . .

some people said "there is no fixed claim, loot come with bombs number" others think " its dynamic, the are veins"
i think its a mix, i can say it, im minning with a friend im using OF 105 he is minning enmatter, and bomb with tk320 when i get nothing... and dude he finds gold at 1000m when i hit nothing ... 200 bombs isnt enought for your test ... finder are just tool... i think skills are better than tools to find ores but its my personnal view... and another things : i made 2 hof of narc in my fisrt week of play with TT finder and 211 on eudoria, since i have my of105 i HOF only twice on CND. . .
minning is sooo complex, dynamic and complex.

I'd just love a look under the hood so to say.
I'm quite familiar with how the Gamebryo engine works - it's the same engine that powers Oblivion, and I wrote a mod for Oblivion that allows people to dig for treasures - very similar to mining here.

I'd guess MA uses a similar method that I used for my mod, the use of scripted zones, leveled lists, and some FunWithRandomNumbers.

As I hunter I CAN say what areas are really overhunted...

when I camp a mob for an afternoon at some spots I rarely see a miner, when I camp on another spot every 15-30minutes a miner pops up.
Now the idea of "rich" area's is just about as true as long that they are not overmined I think, so you have more knowledge in knowing if there has been mined there before you came or not.

I voted no on this poll, but if there was a "sometimes" I would have chose that.

I will share that information with friends or soc members most of the time. If a noob at PA walks up to me and asks, I probably wouldn't tell them anything about specific spots. I am always glad to help them out with the mechanics of things though.

Most of my good mining spots have disappeared or become over-mined as of late though...

There are two tridenite globals marked in entropiatracker. However ... it may be they were terrudite and got misread (and i feel e-tracker is decaying...it certainly doesn't pick up all my globals)...usually though i think we would have heard about it if someone had hit 20k ped worth of tridenite....

Notcie there is no section for vesperdite....
