Question Adj/Imp/Mod Excavator/Extractor

So i was perusing through the auction looking to buy a matterdriller and thought to myself i wonder what the best one is? So i looked at placing an order to see what was available and noticed that i could either have genesis 1-5 or oreminers 101-105 or 201-204.

There were no adj/imp/mod versions or unlimited versions of the 201-204 range!

This made me curious as to what oreminers were available so i looked at placing an order for an ore miner and noticed that there was an adj/imp/mod excavator, along with the genesis 1-5, om101-105 and om201-204.

This got me thinking a few things:

firstly why are there no adj/imp/mod extractors for enmatter;

secondly how many adj/imp/mod excavators are there?

and thridly isnt it about time that we had some new extractors/excavators considering the finders have all been upped abit with the introduction of the Ziplex company.

Surely Ziplex must have their R & D team working on a new line of excavators and extractors now they have supplied finders and bleachers etc.

Also do you think we will ever get unlimited versions of the om201-204 or md201-204?

Best one as in least time spent extracting?
mod

Best in skills?
You should get to miner with 7 times less mining if you use md-204 than any adj/imp.mod can provide
firstly why are there no adj/imp/mod extractors for enmatter;
Are they needed desperately? Maybe frescocuda or letomie or the new warrior exterminators drop thme (the theoretical war-ext's....)

how many adj/imp/mod excavators are there?

mod: 1. Star looted
imp: neomaven has it i think? seen it somewhere...going unused (maybe it was something else :p)
adj: a few :P

Isnt it about time that we had some new extractors/excavators

Perhaps. But when was the last time you saw 2k ped oil hof, or any significant enmatters hof for that "matter". bad pun :p
There are still those undiscovered bp's to come yet... and from what I see MA gears towards a larger player base... I mean... I have 500ped melchi sitting in my storage... I could craft with it but... who needs that much melchi? Compare it to ores consumption (mostly in OA-10x's) and then ask why MA-10z's don't require enmatter at the same consumption rate. (partly to do with the genesis of ores/enmats + crafting bps)
How fast do you burn through an md-204 or om-204 that you need unl.?
I guess if I hit another lyst XXI or over, it might burn then, but other wise i always have backups om-201 which is slightly slower

TT Excavator       2.15   20.61
OM-203 (L) @ 100%  4.83    5.63
OM-204 (L) @ 100%  5.55     N/A

Imp. Excavator     6.08   30.40
Mod. Excavator     9.36    8.32
As you can see imp. excavator is the best economic and the second fastest excavator in EU, mod. excavator is the fastest and modest eco and most thing you asked was answered above.

I have one imp excavator and it's a great toy, especially when you get a big HOF, you can get a extract a 200 PED lyst in just about 10~15 minutes. I wonder how many imp/mod excavators exist in-game ..... 20? 30?

PS.
People usually confuse excavator (for ore) and extractor (for enmatter).

Dunno how many Imp excavators that are all together ig but i had one that i sold a couple of years ago for 3K and i know there are at least one more in our soc.
Its a nice but not nescessary tool, so a bit overrated due too the raritystatus imo.

Out of interest what does the Eff/Sec actually mean. I know that the higher it is obviously the better it is, but what does it equate to? A greater ore amount/PED value pulled up each time or just less decay per use?

eff/sec is how fast you can pull up the ore. Higher isn't exactly better, its just faster.

eff/pec is how much it will cost you to min an amount of ore, higher is better.

With regards to eff/pec, almost nothing can touch the tt excavators/extractors. improved omegraton excavator is the only one that can best the tt ones.
