Can you drop too many bombs on CND?

avatarbased indeed.. what else could it be.. many times on cnd i find other ppls claim clusters.. and go bomb in to the middle of em and find more claims.. dont think the guy missed the spot.. and many times someone finds more claims near my claim even tho i just bombed there..

if it wouldnt be avatarbased.. it would be not very smart to mine in cnd with those 10s of other miners..

ive noticed the total opposite.. i used to try mining at the times when there was the least players online.. but usually its even worse at that time

At that time there are no players to fill loot pool

few players are on + empty loot pool = bad luck

Its avatar based to a certain extent.

there is alof of difference variables when mining cnd. Depth for one, you can find finds with 102 that u cant find with tk320, or maybe just overlapping 50 meters.

So that can explain, Futhermore Claims can spawn in a second.

You dont always find above your asd, so you can miss deposits. there is alot more to it then its avatart based trust me on that!

i get my dry peroids but normaly a nice big hof sorts that out after a few days.
i try to drop over 600 bombs per day.
depends on what mood im in but i go low then back up

600 bombs a day?!?! Holy $%*#. I just got up to cnd for the first time on Friday. I normally drop 50-100 bombs per session to see how the claims are falling. If it seems pretty bad I will take a break and play TF2/BF2/WC3, but if they are hitting I'll drop as many as it takes until it slows down again. I don't have a set number

I guess my answer to your question "Can you drop too many bombs on CND" would be yes, if your PED card can't handle it. If you have the cash to get through hard times while still dropping, go ahead. If you are like me and cringe every time a NRF comes up, then yes, yes you can drop too many

Good question and no straight forward answer is available for this!

I have just spent a week up CND but was only online for 4-5 days in total constantly mining up there.

Started off quite poorly, think i went 70 bombs and 60 probes without a single find was thinking to myself 'just like the old days' lol. So i decided to stop once i found something, which i think was a large something or a sizable.

Next day i came back got a few odd globals during the day, loot seemed to be getting worse so logged off and returned at night. went 40 odd bombs without a find then hit a 1034 ped claim of petonium. That sorted out the losses from the day before and earlier that day.

Next couple of days i think i got a few abundants and greats, but nothing special and was just slightly on a loss for those days, but still in profit overall, thanks to markup on the petonium.

Wasnt about thurs/fri/sat due to real life commitments, so wasnt able to log in till sunday, where i spent a good 8 hours or so in total mining the diff domes.

As i recall i started off very shit, losing alot of peds and burning thru several amps without finding anything than 1 or 2 sizables. Then all of a sudden i was on fire. Managed to find claims every 15-25 bombs or so, sometimes even quicker. Ended up with approx 15 globals and 4 hofs, one of which was at the end of the day (1808ped of narc). Logged off after extracting half of that as i was getting bored and it was also getting late.

Logged on this morning to mine up the rest of the narc, then carried on dropping bombs till my ped card basically ran out. Started off again poorly, nothing found from 80 bombs or so and almsot 120 probes till i found a small oil lol.

From here i assumed i had prob over bombed a few areas/domes, however i wanted to try 2 more domes searching for a particular couple of ores. All of a sudden again was continously hitting and scored another hof and a few more globals and a nice sizable kirtz find.

To me, diff times of day produce diff results loot wise. Most of my poor mining runs come in the morning, and also have noticed that my crafting runs seem poorer in the mornings as well (i live in england btw). Most of my hofs/ubers have always come late afternoon or in the evening/night. Whether this just happens to be the biggest coincidence or not i have no idea, and only Mindark prob have the answer to it.

In total the trip cost me approx 5k peds for amps/repairs/bombs/probes, but luckily on this occasion i returned planetside with approx 13.5k peds of ores/enmatters (with markup).

Not sure if any of this actually helps, cos i seem to have just rambled on lol.
