Drill tower

Can anyone tell me what can be done with these/what are they, etc. I tried searching on entropedia.info, but it gave me no results.

I have never actually hit a tower, but from what I understand towers are basically automatic - drillers. If someone hits a claim that is so large it would take days of constant excavation, a tower is put on the claim which automatically drills for the player. The player that hit it can then go and get the resources from the tower when it has finished a cycle.

I don't know the exact number of excavations required for a tower to appear...anyone else know?

If your mining claim is worth 4k peds or more, then you get a drill tower (it pops up instead of a normal claim marker). You then have to wait 24 hours, and can take around 4-5k ped of ore for that day. If there is still ore left in the tower, you then must wait 24 more hours for the next amount of ore, and so on...

When its ready to give u ore/enmatter, my drilltower was in a collapsed format. 1 click dumps it on you

then my tower re-extended and went back to drilling.

Also, that 1 click gives u a pletherer of skill messages

Wow, I did not even think of that...cool.

I did not know that the TT amount of ore decided if it was a tower or not. I thought it was the number of excavations required. A hit of like 5k dianum would not take as many excavations as 5k lyst or oil, so I thought it was based on that. Thanks for the info!

i was suprised when my chatbox was filled with green skill msgs lol when i collected mine.


beleive it gives u a % fo the skillsgains if u had drilled it manually.

when i hit 7knarc

i collected 4.5k value and 2.6k value in 1 days

I got horrid skills on the 4020 durulium tower i had. It was seriously less skill then drilling up a small 50 ped global. I had 3 lines of skill ups and it was about 1 point per, i forget the exact now, but at the time i wrote down all my skills to see how much the tower would give, and i was hugely disappointed.

It might depend on the ore. Durulium is dug up a lot faster then say lyst or belk and so it gives less skills per PED extracted. I have no idea if it is the same with towers though.
