Hello ppl,

I'm creating this thread to ask you guys what you think that a noob miner with around 350 prosp. and 400 geology who only mines in CND with a of-103 should do with 2k peds?

Would you think he should buy some k's of skills, buy an of-105, 211(L) till maxing 103 and 105?...or to continue with 103?

Please post your comments and opinions, i would like to "hear" a second opinion about this matter

First of all, how'd you get the peds?

If you got it by mining up there, then I suggest you to keep on doing whatever you're doing

As I'm not a CND-expert (never been up there) I'm not sure whether you should switch your finder.. There aren't any "rare" ores up there so I think you'd be able to manage with your of-103.. If you decide to come to the planet then I'd suggest you to get the best depth you can get..

That's what I'm doing right now and it's working nicely

Or you could also try experimenting some small amps.. They can suck your ped card empty really fast so think it carefully..

Hi and thanks for your fast answer Ceepee, but i guess ill leave the ore-amps on the auction instead of using them, because they haven't worked so fine till now.

I got the peds up there, but in order to add value to my avatar and increase possible higher finds in future wouldn't be smart to skill and acquire a better finder maybe?

The type of a finder doesn't have any effect whatsoever on the claim sizes, only the rarity of the ores..
So swapping to a better finder gives you a better chance of finding more rare resources.. People have gotten ubers and so on with only the TT finder or a little better, so I'd suggest you stay in your finder.

And the of-103 could have a finding depth that not many people have, so that the resources there are left for you

Ehe, well that currently crossed my mind when i got my 2k peds hof !

I'll stay with the 103 for some more time now and see what i can get

If I were you I would continue to skill with your 103 until you can use an OF-211(L). Then, use the 211 until it is broken and switch to a Z20. I believe the Z20 is the de facto standard for orefinders on CND. They are relatively cheap and last a very long time. As for the amps, I suggest not using them. Some of the biggest finds on CND are unamped.

Also, may I ask how you managed to get 2k peds by only mining @ CND? Did you get lucky with an early finder?

Well, first of all thanks for your opinion, that's a nice goal you said to max the 211 .

And answering your question, i managed to get 2k peds with my loyal 103

I would buy enough skills to get of-105 maxed, buy it and drop some bombs

Just keep using OF-103 and upgrade to OF-211(L) or OF-105 later when you have enough skills.

i actually did really well untill i went past the 103 finder , switched back to 101 finder which i'm far maxed on and doing better than i was with 104 or 5
