Is there a difference between tk120 / 220 /320 ?

Hello,

I would like to ask a few miners if they have found a noticable difference while using tk120 / tk220 / tk320.

It seems that the average search depth of the tk120 can find every rare ores, so i would like to know if the tk320 will be able to find more rare resources than the tk120.

Maybe not because those finders will not find more rares resources that the ones available at the moment or at the location.

thx in advance for your imputs

Better finder = rare ores more often.

And not only that. You can't find all rare ores with tk120 for example. Rugaritz, tridenite, zanderium, morpheus, redulite are all out of reach just to name a few... or you have pretty much snowball's chances in hell to get them.

So, i'd say the better finder, the more chance you have to find all availabe ores and on a more frequent basis.

I am not impressed with the tk series..

I have found just as much rare with a 105 as I have after going through 2 tk 120's 2 tk 220's and 1 tk 320.

Of course I dont use amps much at all so maybe that brick in the pyramid matters more then the actual finders. Going thru more decay at a much faster rate seems to be more the key to finding more rares then the actual gear imo.

Ive only used the 220 out of the above, so my comments are conjecture using other finders.

The difference between a 120 and a 320 should be pretty big. Now when i say pretty big i mean like 2% instead of 1% chance of finding a specific ore. Rares will still be rare, but should be a good bit easier to find.

Tho i plan to put my money where my mouth is and buy a 320 when my 220 breaks. Ofcourse i might take a break in between if amp prices don't fall a bit, haven't decided yet!

So far the 220 i have hasn't payed for the additional markup for me(prices dropped on them a good bit after i bought too hehe). Im not sure yet tho, since i plan to do a more detailed analysis when it breaks. I get more gold, adomisite, platinum, kanerium, terrurdite, etc. But not enough to make up for the extra markup. But at least enough for me to not consider it a failure.

Unfortunately for me i havent found a single "rare" yet with the 220(about 30% left on it) in fields i know that have them. More uncommon and deeper uncommon ores(like gold, adomisite etc which arent rares, they are deep uncommons), but nothing i consider rare.

Even if they dont pay for the markup, i still have theories that need testing, so they are worth it to me in that respect!

Depending on the day and where you are has more influence over the finder you use whether it is the 120/320. The good thing about the deeper finders is that you can avoid all that annoying lyst, belk, blaus, narc and iron that is found in shallower searches where these minerals are.

The deeper the finder, the less 'shallow crap' you will find. But some ares have lyst at 1000, so it's up to you to find where to use the deep finders and where not to

Lol? You can find all of these with tk120
You can find all of these with z20.

And there's no 'snowballs chance'.... zand, redulite, morpheus are hard since the spots they drop are very limited...in fact the reason there aren't more finds of all of these is because of their location, not their depth.

That was the case for me, so I sold my Tk120(L) even though I was getting significantly more skillups during its SIB period. I had the day when I found many Kanerium claims, which, it seems, was the day when the finder should really show what it's made of, but it only covered the extra markup completely, and in other days I got less profit with it because the amount of rarer ores I find with it was too insignificant. I also know people having better luck with the finder so skills also matter, I think, but the price jump is just too high, imho.

Riight... You still find them! And if you go to the specific "rare" areas like Segna, you will mostly find that, and some days only that!

Well I personally haven't found it, but research in this thread Mining Depths Data Ores Enmatters Finders shows that it is find-depth, not finder that determines what you can claim. Neither have i found red, vesp, morph, magan or ruga, but I don't have a good hit ratio in the places where those are found (i get bored of frigulite, blaus and lyst at 800m). I prefer getting 120% m/u ores, 150% m/u enmatters than 1/100 drop hit of rare + TT food. I find dunkel, and ferrum often, though :)
