Exclamation Miners vs Miners

Hi everyone

When I'm mining and i see a miner coming my way, or heading to a spot where i was mining, I tell him, I first ask him if he's mining ores or enmaters, then I tell him that i was mining in that direction.

But no-one has done the same with me, no-one has ever told me that a spot is dryed or a direction is cleaned.

I was mining today North of Troy, I drooped 6 probes and they were all NRFs, then i decided to go a little more North, I found a few mining claims there, the owner of the claims was there the hole time when i was droping probes and he didn't say a thing.

This isn't the first time that something like this happened to me.

Anyway, do you tell ppl that you mined in the direction they are going? have anyone told you before that he mined in the direction you're heading ?

yes i do tell ppl sometimes where im going... but then most i think doesnt care even if a miners tells he came from the direction i heading, it wount stop me to keep mining.

fact is its hard to tell how good you can do on a recently mined ground.
i had great finds running behind a miner.( wouldnt advice anyone to do that thou )
its just nearly immposible to predict the mats spawn time...

Well, its hard to say in my opinion.
Last time I met a miner came from the direction I want to mine, and he said nothing to me. I also found the claims he left when I ran to the direction he came from, but I still got 2 XII claims next to his claims. So I dont think there is a need for every miner to tell you " Hi, I mined that place" or something like that. No one knew when the claims respawn and where. and let me ask you how do you feel when some one in CND in a dome you met said "hi, I carpet bomb this dome." and when you give up and head back to TP then another guy hit a HOF just next to you with bombs?
I do admit it is polite to tell someone else that you mined the place they would go, I have also done this sometime, but always the answer I got is "ty" and they continued bombing as they have been doing. So gradually I gave it up. :P
Its just my personal opinion and I always say "ty for the info and GL". Then I will continue my mining path as I planned.
I dont think others suggestions would disturb me. and I do appreciate this polite information.

May be the answer is:it just depends on how do you think the loot system works and how you lucky you are.

I don't "talk" while mining.

And to be honest, I have mined behind other miners on the same way and I globaled where the other miner had NRF. (did this with a soc mate on CND, North TP he dropped a bomb --> NRF ... 20 seconds later I dropped a bomb there, X .. double bomb --> global)

I believe different finders with different average depth will have different chances of getting different ores / enmatters.

So no harm in mining over the same place.

Just my view (just a casual miner's view)

I usually do this too. Whether people take any notice probably depends on their theories about finds. But telling them lets them decide what they want to do.

I usually get asked "Any luck?"
And I usually answer "Nope."
