Need help from math guru
i added 2 range enhancers to my vrx3k
the cost of them was 30+22 peds
the range is now 55.1 vs 54 normal
how much much surface is coverted now on each drop vs normal
in % plz

i think if you use a big amp each the cost of the enhancer you get easy back

Not sure a math guru is needed, the area of a circle=pi*radius*radius

so
radius_initial=54
radius_final=55.1

Ratio=(radius_final/radius_initial)^2=1.041

109 costs 20 peds with markup 30 (out of my head dont know exact costs atm)

4.1% saved out of those 30 peds is 1.23 peds saved each so if they both last 50 drops or so you do better with then then without

(55.1^2*3.14)/(54^2*3.14) <=> 55.1^2/54^2 <=> (55.1/54)^2 = 104.12%

(FINDER_RADIUS*(1+ENHANCEMENT_IN_PERCENT)/FINDER_RADIUS)^2

That is a 4.12% increase, if I'm not mistaken.

I would only agree if you are perfect with the distance that you drop at, to maximize the search area on each and every mine / probe.

However I am a big believer in double dropping and consistantly get multiple hits in the same area. which havs nothing to do with range area. I would rather put my ped into better finders or amps than mess around.

my guess is that they will not last that many drops with a 109.

the higher the amp on the finder, the higher the chance the enhancers will die. Or so I heard.

Yes, you might make the money back for the enhancers with no problems, but it feels like 1.1 extra range isn't worth the 52 ped you paid for them.
Just what I think and believe but you could do some statistics with and without, comparing how many finds you get and such, and then work out if buying enhancers are worth the extra ped.
