To be perfectly honest. Paying too much markup and an amp just because it's higher level just doesn't make any sense.

The whole point of limited items was to combat inflation to an extent, but when people pay silly money for something that doesn't last it kind of defeats the object. Then they wonder why they are working at soo much of a loss.

Could be there was a time when all the resources were evenly distributed on the continents only and then with the asteroid that loot pool was just divided three ways. All I know is, I lost my shirt trying to mine up there, despite the fact the all my claims were medium to considerable (no smalls or tiny).

You can have bad runs on Calypso as well and the good runs anywhere have more to do with luck than with skills or amps. Though I find with time I am becomeing more intuitive when it comes to spacing my bombs and diciding which direction to point my avatar.

Not sure why the claims at CND should be bigger and not distributed the same as everywhere else, but I'll never go there again. I wouldn't say that mining has been killed on Calypso. It's been much more rewarding than anything else I've done in PE so far.

I blame Mining amps.

Why?

A mining amp adds nothign to the loot, it is just about decay, and MA get decay as profit.

A gun amp uses extra ammo, and ammo goes into loot.

I could go on, but it's late, and I can;t be arsed ...

ther's no ammo .. only decay .. and WHat ? U think all the melee weapon decay goes to MA ?? and nothing to the lootpool ...

Same apply with amps ...

I think you don't have your math lessons updated.
So I think it is time to remember you guys again.

If mining amped could be decayed up to 100% instead of just 97% I'm sure that more of you would had reach it also.

Mining Amp total tt value at start 100 PEDs

Ranged laser weapon plus ammo at start 100 PEDs

Used and final total value of 3 PEDs

means that MA will get the same decay.

Decay meaning decreased in the value of the items.

What you usually forget is that Ammo decays 100%
(And bombs and probes also decay 100%)

Once fully decayed broken mining amps are good for what ? For collection, I say an expensive habit you got there

The way I see it...if noone is mining, then crafting will get too expensive (more than already is), then when noone is crafting anymore, ...well ya get the idea. I stopped mining about a month ago...that was about all I cared to have of the new amped mining system. ...from what I understand, nothing has changed since then, except the introduction of even higher decaying amps.

Mining on Eudoria is dead because it's about as entertaining as crafting filters, or watching your grass grow. Tiny, poor, tiny, poor, very poor, very poor - OOOOH STOP THE PRESSES I GOT A MODEST!

That would be OK if there were still veins and what not, but since mining has become a giant crap shoot without strategy, it's more fun to strap on a 03 amp on CND and know that most finds will be globals. Yes, it's 3.x ped a drop. But that beats the hell out of suffering through the tiny/poor routine.

Neverdie, along with everyone else, had no idea he'd make much more from mining than hunting.

especially when ya dont have to pay any additional investment to have the ores there, like fertilizer or DNA Though Im sure wont take MA long to develope a "pay us" and we'll put ores on your Land system.

Mining is broken period. The loots are assigned to the avatar and not sitting in the ground. When you see the same people hitting Globals and Hof's all the time its because they have been given them nothing more nothing less. And as far as im concerned unless MA actually tells us one way or the other im going to assume they can hit the loot or no loot button.
