Crafting the blue coloured blueprints in the components book - the metal ones - bolts, screws etc. That will boost it.

Why its in the mining section I have no idea. Does it have any influence on mining - no idea.

Not electric or mechanical. Only metal equipment. If the skill affects mining or if it's misplaced has yet to be solved. It could be solved rather quick actually if a noob with 0 skills chipped it and checked if the tool stats had changed. Any depositing total noobs around?

It remains a mistery indeed. Why it skills on crafting and why it rest on Mining skilltab. Maybe MA screwed up? Maybe there's a minimum of skills per category and mining was lacking one, so it borrowed metallurgy from crafting?

Who knows...

But it would be cool to have a hint from MA. (please marco, hint hint )

I suspect that metallurgy has an effect of getting the mineral sense skill. The person who posted on the forum here did not have that unusual of skills other then a high metallurgy. This may indicate that it has some impact on the rarity of ore you will find when out prospecting. Or it may not as no one really know what effect it really has on prospectiog/mining

I do recall on person saying that it may have been whey they got CGA sooner then they were expecting. But it is all just speculation really.

Mining is divided into drilling/minnig and prosp/survey. So which of the professions would it affect then?
