NRF - No Resource Found - Mining/Skilling App

You don't need to alt-tab, what you are supposed to do is to bind the commands to certain keys for mining.

Under Settings > Hotkeys are the following commands, and what they do when bound:

"Found Deposit" - When you find a deposit, you right click the deed and change the deed to be on the screen with the coords, size of the claim, type, etc (middle button of the deed) and then you click this button. You will hear two beeps "boop-bop" means it was done correctly and is now in the database, "boop-boop" means it was unable to read the deed and to try again (in this case, press P and then try it again - sometimes it just has to have a comparison to read I think)

"Bomb/Drill Drop" - When you drop a bomb or a drill, you're supposed to press P and then this key. It then reads the coords you dropped a bomb/drill at, so you can keep track of where you've been mining, as well as how many claims were within radius of the tool you were using. (uses the same sounds as 'Found Deposit' does, so you'll know if it didn't work)

"Skills" - This one is easy. Press K and go through each page of your skills, pressing this each time. It will save the info to the Skill Log page. You can also use this on the Professions pages (the one with the progress bars) and it's surprisingly accurate in tracking your current Profession amount (down to the decimal).

"Parse & Upload" - This I think auto-uploads the details from claim deeds to a site online for comparison... all I had to know was it put my own claim deeds on the net, and I didn't want that! lol

If you have any other questions, lemme know. I've pretty much figured out all of the basic things in how to use this, and Squee helped me figure out how to do one final thing that helps me see the claims that much better on the map .

Huskie, it did sound a lil grumpy, but no problem. First off, its not truely "ingame" but run in the background while YOU are ingame You can then use the Hotkeys to trigger NRF to do a certain action. All actions will take a screenshot and try to read certain info from it. Sunab Naverith gave a nice explanation as well. If you want, I wont mind meeting up in game to explain how to use it.

BTW I'm not the only one with this problem, a friend of mine has over 6k (yes, 6,000) pics of mining deeds that he's kept track of over the years. He tried your program and it refuses to parse any of them no matter what he did, so maybe it's a hidden bug in your latest version?

I will check this and get back to you on it, and at then we can discuss this key issue. I know there have been some problems with laptop keyboards.

On another note: I have recieved a screenshot. Possibly deposit deed of a tower ( havent searched to find out ) as there is no "time left" line in the deed. That causes the location to fail parsing. This will be fixed next update. I neva had a tower or something that size so I wouldnt eva know.

One request.

In settings you have the option Additional info.

Can you allow for two additional info's
And then allow for either info to be hot keyed for swapping.

See When I go mining I double mine at the same time. Ore and eNmatter.

As the app stands right now, I waste some time going out of the game and back to the app to modify it to say MF-103 or OR-103 just so i can track the proper bomb droppings and or deeds.

So if one could set up two Additional Infos and hot key those then it'd be a simple keyboard switch in game to go back and forth.

num 7 MF-103 num key 8 OR-103 etc. Before I do my droppings.

I have had problems running NRF. I installed the program and had problems getting it to work. It kept giving an error that it couldn't create a file. I played around with it for a while and turned off the screenshot record option and finally managed to get it working. I Figured out how the beeps worked and did a run through of my skills and a practice mining run and then logged off. Now I can't get it to record anything, when I press the hotkeys nothing happens, no beeps or anything. Has anyone else had these problems? Is there another program possibly on my computer blocking the app?

One other question, is there a way to do manual entry of data? Because I couldn't get the app working I started recording data by hand. If I can get the program working, I would like to be able to include this data.

Well Here's what I foudn I had to do.
(Oh yeah program won't delete old skills file go figure)

Anyway for bomb drops you have to press p first then the numbered hot key to hear the beeps.

for claims
You have to view the claim page with the data on it
then press p
then the numbered key on the key pad.

Least that's how I'm doing it and how i set up my one key macro to do it as it works.

This is what I was doing and it was working the first time I ran the program. The second time I tried, it was as though the program wasn't responding to the hotkeys. There were no beeps, no screenshots, absolutely nothing was happening. I doubled checked that I was using the right hotkeys, and still nothing. I want to be able to use the program because it seems very useful.

Okay so you've made sure your number lock is on.
Are you playing in windowed or full screen? I've only ever used it in windowed so far.
Try a new file maybe the one loaded is corrupt.
Was it working before you updated? If you updated.
verify your hotkeys are what you think they are.

IE Num 1 instead of just 1 or so.
since it doesn't install anything no need to reinstall. but maybe redl and try it form a fresh download.

I was playing in full screen mode, I will try it in window mode. If nothing else, it will be easier to switch between apps to see if it is working.

I will try these suggestions when I get home. I will download it again if nothing else works. I just couldn't figure out what was wrong, since I had it working one time and then it wasn't working later.

NP glad ot help out. I'm new to the tool myself. And being a double miner windowed mode allows me the only way right now to switch back and forth between additional infos.
