NRF - No Resource Found - Mining/Skilling App

I'm having the same problem, has anyone come up with a fix yet?

i have lost all my data using this program now 3 times, each times it is aprox a year of data gone, all i am left with is the blank trip entries with no dates or times. all of my finds are gone, the map is bare.

I managed to find the screen shots for 2 years of mining deed so pain stakingly opened each out in full screen and added it again. after the 2 days i had all and more of the claims i had lost.

i saved it turned it off and went to eat, when i come back some time later they have all deleted themselves again,

can anyone help me PLS i rly dont understand why they are deleting themselves, its not me being stupid and not saving it, i save and turn of nrf after every trip,

this is really getting anoying and i need to find out if neone else is having same thing or basically any ideas to stop it happening again.

Make backups of the logs, or you might have a virus that "cleans" it or something.. i dunno :P

after i spent the 2 days putting it all back in i made a new file and saved it
didnt make a backup but had just installed it all onto a new copy of windows so figured it should be ok now. ( seems to happen on or close to the time of a crash ) i understand it could be the crash causing the problem but the very last time this happened nrf was not even running . and why does nothing anything else i have on my pc erases itself after a crash , it should only be unsaved work shouldnt it ? :/

got a program to search my hdd for pics and docs from before the format , going to see it i can retrieve some of the pics from before. its a long shot though id really like to find the cause.

in the mean time any more thoughts pls

Is anyone running NRF on vista 64-bit succesfully?

I have been running it on XP for ages (well, figure of speach) without problems that could not be solved. I know it is supposed to run on Vista.

Could you check for me the following:

1: Start NRF, configure it to catch printscreen and switch on the 'Hotkey notifications' (Under tab: Settings, subtab: Options)
2: Start the EU client loader, accept the EULA so that the 'Entropia Universe Login' window is displayed (and active)
3: Hit printscreen (you should hear the audible notification)
4: In NRF go to the 'Image loader' tab, the grey pane should be replaced by a screenshot

OK, the image is not usefull for parsing, but this is just to check whether NRF is able to read the screenshots. (Maybe you need to start NRF as admin user in Vista?)

5: OK, now go ingame and try again, first with printscreen and check whether that screen ends up in the image loader.

6: Then with the hotkey you specified for drop bomb/probe. (hit P to get your position in the chat pane before you hit the hotkey)

7: OK, did you get a screenie in the image loader (with position?)? Switch to the Settings -> Color options subtab.

8: Check the 'Chat preview', here 'Your current position' should be clearly readable. If it is not, either your color settings must be adjusted (try fiddle with them) or you are not running windows 2000 compatibility mode.

Hmm, just tried looking up your problem Ender. It seems NRF needs to run as admin in Vista for the hotkeys to work:

Ok, running NRF as admin has enabled me to capture 'prtsc' button and hotkey drops. But when I got to color settings all three preview boxes are all black. I'm assuming this is where you meant I need to play with display settings --> do you mean windows display/color settings or eu settings?

Hi Ender, Borr

I was having the same problem, running NRF as admin seems to have fixed it. I did have to play with the colour settings for the system text though.
