Mining Map & Spreadsheet

I just thought I'd post this and see what y'all thought. It's a spreadsheet I use to track my mining progress, and the graph I display while I'm working:

I generally size the chart so it's visible just at the edge of my EU window. Since the spreadsheet is autosorted, I can consult it at any time later to see where to go to mine a given ore/matter, or what I found in an area last time I was there. The data depicted is from a short mining run I just finished in LA2 (to populate the Entropia Directory Amethera Minerals Chart (shameless plug)).

I'd welcome thoughts & feedback, and can send a copy for anyone to use as a template for their own ubernerdiness.

Better yet!!! Get in touch with Squee, and have this added to the NRF pgm he has It could insert the coords and all into the "map" as you have it... ERm, well NRF already does this, but it can be made a lilte more claer... Whatever, get in touch with Squee.

Nice catch--the RLong & RLat fields (covered by the graph) are what's actually graphed, and they're rounded to the nearest 100m. I do this because I mine in 100m grids, and use the chart to see where I need to hit next. I should explain that I don't carpet-bomb--rather, I cluster around existing finds.

So in general, the chart is a map, not a distribution graph. And it's purty

I'll look around for a good place to upload my spreadsheet and post a link.

If anyone has any recommendations for a free webserver or other online storage place to which I could upload, I'd happily get an account and make the template available to all.

I'm also considering including the option of downloading it with the few hundred lines of info I've accumulated since I started using the spreadsheet.

Of course, if you want more generalized info on where you can find what resources, everything I log also gets updated on ED's Minerals Charts (link in sig block).

[additional plug: when you post your HoFs/globs, if you include the position info in the screenshot, I can also use that to update the charts]
