I get your point there.
However, perhaps you can use the prog to find and mark the "fields" who you would like to test. To easely show others where to test etc..
Since you can add your own picture in the prog. shouldn't be too hard for a regular coding guy to edite the prog a bit and making it possible to zoom in on that particular field (not talking about the already implemented matrix/grid option). Then proceed with the details on that field, for instance deposit movement and/or spawning. Perhaps even by using arrows etc, because you can add almost any feature and descrition, like time of drilling up the deposit. With could still save ya some time and even better, give you a nice overview, too rule out any rumors or beliefs.

Perhaps it's a good idea to even let some guys experiment with the mining ingame and let others list them in a neomap file.

Anyhow, just brainstorming here. Perhaps it can help you in your quest .

as I said, as soon as I get the smallest idea 'bout the new mining system (which is currently a big black hole for me), I will put some ideas in brainstorming and decide all together what and how to test and hopefully find some programers to help with the coding and maybe a website for updating and all and.. whee I am dreaming
