After the VU I expect changes in the mining system. Therefore, I would like to experiment and try to search all possible measurements.
That would cost. Would be, I think, easier and more relevant if more miners would join the experiments and share the knowledges. I think we should elaborate a series of tests: a part made alone, a part in team. Any other interested miner is welcomed, with the request of posting the stats. I would like a wide range, from noob to as much experimentated as possible. Please let me know ur opinions and if u want to join. Regards, K |

u shouldn't be shy:p :-)
this is what i want to do (NOT ALONE!): some quick ideas (however, i will work on an ellaborate plan, there is enough time until the VU ): • measurement of detection range (a miner finds a deposit, doesn't claim it, and the other bombs it to try to see the most far point from where he receive signal from that deposit) - possible interferences from other deposits, everything will be harvested around in order to have a single one to test - in the same situation, search if two different miners, with different skills, have different results (they pick at same distance, same deposit, same size, same depth) - search in same situation if different tools give different signals • search if, in same field, different miners find different ores. - skills influence the kind of ores/en-matter found? - tools influence regarding the kind of ore found? - tools influence the depth? • the most important: PUBLIC MAPPING OF THE CONTINENT Everything will cost a lot. The most expansive being the mapping. If will sign up 10 miners or so, an internal discussion would be held in order to decide if the map will be public or shared only by those. If signup a large number of miners, (50-100), the map will be public, with the possibility of daily/weekly updates (that will depend on the techincal support, and is far-thinking). The exception will be the PVP areas. If anyone maps those, is his very expanses and merit, and due to the risks, is normal to keep for him what he might find out. I estimate a duration of about 2 weeks for the tests and maybe 2 month of mapping Eudoria. Again, that will mean alot of peds invested, so double think if you want and are able to. In the same time, please keep this thread clean, no "it was done already" or "i know all that" or "u won't have succes" or I dunno what. I would like miners to answer here, if wants to join, and hopefully until the VU we'll be able to build the team. Regards, K |

In the same time I wrote my article, you refined your concept. Thx for this. But in upfront: What are the analytical results of your own mining experience until today? Which system rules did you find? |

all what i found might be influenced by skills.
first of all: - about gain skills: forget those "big deposits nearby". • geology gain: u are at the border (I second Seamaster on that) of an area of ores. coincidentally, in it might be a big one but is not mandatory • prospection: there is another deposit inside the detection range or closeby • perception: seems exactly what that means: u are able to "see" more, i usually gain this when i detect very poor dep. - about range of detection: seems that with OF 101 i have a larger range than with TT MD. (around 56m with OF 101) - i also believe that detection functions like a weapon: with this bomb u detect around 40m, with anouther maybe 50 maybe 30. depth is irrelevant in what regards range, maybe detection in depth influenced by skills/tools - about types of ores: seems like any other detector than TT has larger chances of finding higher tt value ores. - about hitting big dep: so far, pure luck, i ain't found any "system" - about fields: deposits migrate inside the same field. i dunno the interval, i dunno whatever alghorythm them might have. they don't "grow": a very poor dep will stay very poor for 5 years if not discovered, won't become "large". - about spacecrafts: absolutely random that is so far. |

This experiment sounds good for me
It would be interesting to take part in it... i ready to go and find some more about mining system in PE. Well i aslo think that resorces migrate, move in area..probably they have some ares of which they cant go out..but also if one was mined you cant find more deposits..i'm very intrested in respawning time of resorces.. I would realy want to check it, but to have 100% of sure that it is the same resorce the same which i mined last time i have to know where it will respawn..or just MA done some areas with specificed number of difrerents ores..for example 1000 PED's of ores(3-4 kinds) must be located in this part of territory.. Well i'm not extremly skilled in mining.I was making with friends experiment about rage of bombs. We have the same TT equipment..max range with tt is 50 m. With low skill it was about 48 meters.. so i can say that skill infulence in some way on range of bombs. I dont know if better equipment influece it. I'm realy ready to take part in this experiment ![]() Just send me a message, where and when i have to put some bombs and what i should be looking for ![]() Last edited by Czochcio; 09-19-2005 at 13:40. |
