CGA skill

I`m close to unlock CGA.

Just a question, what i can expet from this skill?

More claims (Think no)
Bigget size of claim (Think no)
More rare ores found (Maybe)
Faster tools maxed (Think yes)
Am I right or no?

Is there any difference aftre this skill while mining? (i know i must have to skill it a bit lvl will not give nothing )

It, like all unlockable skills, will help you're prof level increase faster - letting you max out the higher end finders. Using the better finders increases the chance of finding rare things, but whether you find enough to cover the markup of the finders...

Well, I would say that it helps your prof levels to increase at a decent rate, rather than faster, since the other skills starts to slow down...

Someone said that CGA helps reduce the number of unknown finds.
IF this is true (and I have no idea if it is or not) then the only thing it does that is beneficial is as the other said- help raise your pro standing.
Since i unlocked it I have noticed no increase in rare ores, etc.

I don`t think unlocking cga did anything for me. Extraction either. Unless the effect is so minute as to not be noticeable until it gets way up there in levels. I still use to do better mining several vu`s ago.

This is still widely contested, but after nearly two years of mining, I "know" this theory is true...

CGA indicates a deposit is very near - approx 80m or so. The order of skill hits to deposit, from farthest to nearest is Perception -> Geology -> Prospecting -> CGA -> Deposit. Scroll down about a quarter of the way on this page for a good expanation - http://upc.guildportal.com/Blog.aspx?Blog=117872 Silver's theories have been very helpful for me...

After getting a CGA hit on Calypso, your chances of hitting a deposit are very high if you go 80m in four directions and bomb with a maxed OF-105. On CND, it's 40m.

Teory about that skillgain indicates deposit range, then i don`t belive that, because:
1 - skill gain in mining is when u drop bomb/probe
2 - After goes those seconds only then server checks is there any deposit
(havent you noticed then is loot lag then you can wait for result even serveral minutes but skill gain was already before)

Skillgains is based on area and amount you drop in some areas more in some less.
