a real mining vein

now, here is what is called a vein, for your reference...xD



nothing big in it, but it was nice to hit something just about every bomb/probe. (the one that is far away is behind a hill, so it is not visible...;P

there was found another one later just outside the sight view...

No its not , its seems to be the other things , cluster...

In old time vein was realy vein ... long line of claim ... 1 all 50m ... and it can be 5 , 10 , 20 or more claim.... i think som said to find over 40 claim long vein...

a vein does not neceserally have to be a long line

IRL it would be (as far as i know) an area that is loaded with minerals (just gotta find it)

I always thought that vein is a long, straight or curved, line of claims , I even saw that once or twice (10+ in a row). In your case its rather a cluster . However, if you got a field of 5x20 claims - its a damn wide vein

not the same ore, but skill-ores (lyst, oil (craftskill) gazz, blaus, duru(mining skills)

looks like 4 veins to me.....veins follow straight lines....typically 3 less often 4 claims in the vain.....and the 3rd claim typically is twice the distance that the 1st 2 have between them......the distance is determined by ore type.

I watched someone get a similar run of finds from out of view past me and off out of view the other side ....I counted 10 at least and he was still shaking the ground when I had to go. Nice if this happens more often, people finding more realistic veins. Usually we hope for a short one but only end up wasting bombs for not much.
