Which is easier Ore or Enmatter

which one of these would be eaiser in skilling up in. Looking for solids or liquids?
Also which one is more useful and easier to sell.

Enmatter is cheaper (50 pec per try rather than 1 ped), but I think ore is a better choice as ores are generally more in demand than enmatters. But that's just my opinion.

I think you should choose solid
Because ore is the best choice for mining.
Why??
My and my friend's experience are examle.
We always lost about 10-50 peds for per mining trip.Also,we were very hard to get global.
When we change the material to mine (chose ore).We never lost more than 10ped because the markup is so hight.In addition,we often got global about 5 global for 10-15 mining trips.

Enmining is cheaper, the probes are 1/2 as much as bombs, finders, at least right now are cheaper on their markup so you can have a much easier progression to upgrade. However, Im not sure if a surveying skill gain, is only counted as 1/2. One could postulate, Im dropping twice as many probes, per ped than bombs, therefore getting more skills faster,,,,just not sure if those faster surveying skills are actually faster in the Surveying profession or if they are actually halved...Im sure someone with a magnifying glass who likes to look at individual pixel lines could tell you more. Ore's do seem to have a wider range of items to find, and tend to have better markup. So not sure if its just a toss up or what.

Enmatters are in less demand and markup is less
skill gains 2x faster then ore, but for Ore will be Geology and Perception

Hard to find, because all miners mine ore and most of areas are owermined, so you will need te be in right time and place

Choice is up to you.

My suggestion: take 100 probes and 100 bombs (150 PED), make a run and repeat it 2 more times, so in total you will have 3 runs by 100 drops each type and see what is better to you.

Well it used to be that the ore library of resources was greater than the enmatter but recently MA has introduced more enmatters so I think they are getting closer to being balanced.

Its hard to say just which one to pick and honestly if you are going to be a hard core miner I would say look for both if you have the ped. Ore and enmatter fields seem to overlap so you can maximize returns looking for both just be aware you can loose much more this way too.

Some benefits to enmatter mining: 2 probes for one ped(more chances for skill gain), enmatter amps last longer (well at least the ones I use), there is now a greater variety of enmatters and you can find a great many of them with the right skills and equipment. Since enmatter is not as popular the equipment can be cheaper.

Some draw backs: drilling is slower than excavating, enmatters tend to have a low %, unless the rig is still broken, oil can be gathered from the rig which does tend to impact the price of probably on of the first enmatters you will find.

Its a tough choice and I guess thats why I choose to look for ore and enmatter its not always a sucessful venture but it does raise those skills and helps you learn the resource markets from both enmatter and ore perspectives.

Maybe trying both at seperate times will give you a little more insight and help you make a decision on one or the other or both.
