Is this because you think mining is consistently better there, or you know more good mining areas on that continent, or some other reason maybe? Actually, there are a few places on Eudoria that I like to mine in and would go to if I had to. I tend to stick as close as possible though to places that i'm confident of breaking even on - i'll mine in Shinook area as often as I can since I tend to have good results there. I find it tends to be the case on Amethera that the fields in which an ore lies cover massive areas (on the whole much bigger than Eudoria) so that if you hit a bad patch you can always tp away somewhere else but still be in the same field.

Just out of interest, I don't see any information in your logs about hunting, are you excluding that info or are you simply not killing anything on your runs?

Reason I ask is that the biggest problem i've had with mining is I need to cut my way through mobs, and if i'm doing well mining, I tend to get poor loot on the mobs I kill and vice-versa. There's not many spots in EU where you can mine without getting interrupted by mobs, and those that there are i've usually found to be pretty dry (lots of other miners having the same idea).

Well that is also another reason to prefer Amethera, I can't stand mining in areas which are filled with small mobs like merps everywhere

For this I was keeping my hunting separate from the mining results, but I had a small kingfisher hof the other day while mining so I haven't been losing money on mobs while mining Odd you say that though, I've found recently that I've had really good loots while out mining - often better than when just hunting...

Also I don't believe that deposits are "in the ground" and lots of miners means an area will be dry, although that is just in my opinion.

Yep, just my experience from mining lapsed LG areas, so nothing conclusive. I was just curious because I bet if I did this test and included the 'travelling expenses' of killing the mobs that got in the way, my 300 ped would be gone in a few days

Hi. I just want to say that it is absolutley no problem to mine without weapon and armor. Me myself are running around in both Eudoria, but most on Amethera in my orange jumpsuit. You will learn really quick where you can run without bumping in to mobs and at the same time having a really good mining trip. I can say that i have under the 2 last days made an profit with about 400 ped, so just go out there and drop youre bombs mate

Just remember to plan youre route before you begin youre round, it really helps alot!

Thanks for the tips, yeah I think I rarely plan my route, I tend to carpet-bomb an area like I would on CND, which means if a mob's in my way, i'm gonna take him down.
