Introduction

Throughout the history of EU there has always been one activity that I considered, at that point in time, to be my best chance of making peds; at different points in time this has been hunting mining and crafting , which explains why my skills are all over the place

Lately I have discovered a new favorite hobby: mining PVP 4 unampped

At first I figured that if I was going to mine high markup ores I should use amps, but I have found my results are a lot better unammpped, so thats what i'm going to stick with

My Equipment

OF-105
OM-104

Lesser TP chip
EK-2600 (used very rarely)
Valor (used very rarely)

No armor

My tactics

My tactics are very simple; go into PVP4 and drop bombs in 50 bomb runs

Avoid everybody else

Don't shoot any mobs unless they attack me first

The advantage of this system is very low operating costs

Recording my results

I have started using NRF and love it, it was a little tricky to get everything set up just right, but it does exactly what I need, and I recommend it to any minners who want to record their results


A note on costs

I cannot be bothered recording my exact costs for each minning run, because they are so minimal

So instead I just say that my costs are 50 ped of bombs and 5 ped of other

This other includes the small decay on my finder and extractor, the occasional use of my fap, a little bit of mind essence here and there, etc.

90% of the time this amount is under 5 ped anyway

To make 1000 ped profit and upgrade some of my mining equipment

pvp4 is good for mining and pk same time , when I get bored I'm doing a small run there.

Hi Hellfire,

Good initiative u got there. Seen u where lucky enough to have some profit on your first mining trip over PVP4. Despite u didn't get any high claims or even blood moss ( 3000 % ) u managed to escape Pk's.

As you, my skills are also scatered among many skills , being the most important ones rifle/handgun, evade, mining ( ore and enmatter ) and crafting.

I've mined there quite some times, and managed to get 3 or 4 good result runs without being pk'ed... that is my major problem at pvp4... one time "cleaned" by Bruud, another couple of times i even didn't pay attention to who did it... always at first shot, even with 130 health.

Notice how I looted almost exactly the same ratios of the same ores

It can be disappointing when you break exactly even like on this run, but in the end if you have the same amount of peds as you started with and you had fun then you are ahead

The most important thing in pvp is being able to react quickly to seeing a pker

BTW lots of people make the same mistake, but i'm Thamior Hellfire DragonSlayer, there is another guy called Snake Slither Hellfire (who is a very good crafter) and is Slither on these forums

It can get confusing but as a general rule I go by the name Hellfire and he goes by the name Slither

P.S. Are you taking 50 bombs at once, or you like .. take 10, then another. ?

Good question

I start with 50 bombs and mine until I have about 20-25 ped of ore then go back to town and put that ore in storage, come back and finish the run

It does take a little bit of extra effort to split the run into 2 or 3 like that, but it doesn't cost you any ped to do it

The reason for doing this of course is that if I ever get killed while mining im going to lose a maximum of 25 ped of ore

You have to choose an amount of ore that you are comfortable with losing and go back to town once you hit that amount, depending on your skills and your total ped balance this might be 5 ped or it might be 500 ped its something that you have to decide
