It only means you're going through your bad period in mining. I'd say with that kind of budget you have there, maybe switch to enmats until it gets better..?

Not shanging to enmamters :p Don't got any skills in that so I'll stay whit ores.

About the IX find your right. IX find is to low to shage a bad run into a good one. XI works perfect I guess. The only problem is that you need to find this claim

Away from TP: yes, however I very often score a claim near TP... best was at my second visit to (censored) ...er, skip teh name, III rebombed into two IVs - right from teh TP!!
But yes, be aware that if there are more inexperienced players around they will surely bomb the areas around before you.

11NRFs- yeah, lately a tendency to give more NRFs at the very beginning.

Very short run for me this time. why? Very simple Realy wanted some profit this time so I quit when I had profit. Not from mining but from hunting. Was mining my VI claim and a atrax prov attaced me. Killed it and BOOM 10 ped .

For example, I get a good find rate on the hills around Jason (a few hundred meters from the city itself). So a bit of running from the TP (200-250m) should be enough...

Only thing I think is that the chance of hitting something is minor because when you mine close to a tp the chance is bigger that someone else mined that area before you.
Of cource a good hit rate it possible near to a tp but I think you need more luck for that
