When you have done your next run(s) I strongly advise you to sell your ores at a higher markup than the ones you are currently selling at. You really should get around 3% more for everything you are finding.

If you aren't doing so already, I would buy a decent orerefiner (TT one has worst eco) and only sell refined ingots. In auction there often are orders for most ingots, so if you need money fast, you can always sell to those orders. To reduce the effect of the auction fee, you best stack ingots untill you have about 50ped TT of a certain type. If you do this, your overall results will improve for sure.

Just some advice from another Belgian miner

Um... how should I say this... Timbo uses OF211 not TT one (which is horrible).
Second of all, these markups from the last run are all very fair in my view, except for the lyst maybe, but that's almost a TT food anyways Timbo already received our advices about refining before selling etc, and I as a miner can say that auction= waiting, I'd better pay to my dealer and get my money now than wait and maybe get it or have to waste at least 50PEC again... besides, dealers sometimes can offer really good deals.

I think that the orders in auction are ok. Might just lose 2-5% from markup. And U get your money at once

Hi Sofia,

I was talking about the refiner, not the finder. The TT refiner has pretty bad eco, and the 103 for example isn't that expensive to buy, he would win back the cost pretty soon. If he can afford a 105 refiner, it would be even better but it does require a rather big investment.

The other ores are also sold pretty cheap imo, not just the lyst. Checking orders in auction won't take long, and quite some times there will be better prices than what he is getting now. Another option is to check the lowest BO for every ingot and list your batch right under that BO price. I believe the batch will be sold 9 times out of 10 within 24hours.

This is just advice I'm giving, in the end everybody can do whatever he wants. Mining can be a very nice profession in EU, that's the reason why I am practicing it for over a year, but you do need to think about your eco to get the best results (like in all other professions I guess).

Good luck !

Quint

Hi Quint

Ty for your response
Will have a look at all the prices of the ores and the orders on auction. A 3% increase on the overall loot would be nice for shure. but you need to calculate the aucion fees. For a 3% incrase of your ore pice you need to pay a auction fee so some of your little profti you already loose there. Also the rifining of ores cost some money.
Will try to come up whit some real date totay about the diffireces in selling at a dealer ore on auction

Sorry!! My fault, totally. I really must admit that the TT refiners have a hidden decay value that is way lower than that of the more expensive refiners. I myself bought 104 for enmatter with 10PED markup, I save about 30% (!) of my decay now and by the time it bites the dust it will have paid off!
Besides, they're UL, so you may sell them afterwards at least with that same markup! The alternative for ores is, unfortunately, with a tad higher markup, but any other refiner starting with 103 will save you PECs significantly If I decide to switch to ores (that will happen eventually), I'd invest in the best refiner I can find That is, if I'll have the PEDs to pay the markup by that time >_> ...

As for Timbo: best of my wishes for you, mate, and may you find really big finds in some of your next times

I assume this is a typo ? If not, your buyer is taking advantage of you I'm afraid...
