Good advice... I do all these but forget to pass it on to people. If it's mining, I have maybe 6-8k materials in storage, and usually save enough to sell 100ped at a time (100ped before markup). Pancreas fox example I get a -lot- of, and instead of dumping it on market at low markup, I sell it in small batches. The little extra money I make from doing this pays for my spaceflights.

stop if hunting is bad.. you know if your losing if you lose for more than 10 minutes stop..

Learning how to recognise a good loot period and bad loot period, and what to do in either of these situations. FOr example, when I hunt Kings , the loot lmits and personal disciplines I have developed with p5 are different to those with apis. I hunt kings with a different discipline than when I hunt ambulimax, for example. I think it is up to each and every avatr to learn what loot rules work for them....bear in mind I just got Combat Sense and am only just identifying the strong loot-rule patterns. And I can still be trapped by bad loot cycle (I see the patterns, and ignore them). It takes time to identify these factors.

The ingame ads say exactly this. Match your skills and weaponry against various creatures. I wonder how many people paid attention to them.

Don't sell anything to the TT, like Da stated few posts above a few % can be a lot money on the long run. Maybe try to find a regular buyer.

Hunted with armor is in most cases more economical then without, but use the right armor. Armor decay is based on protection it gives. Best way to test this is to do a few similar runs with and without armor. If you choose the right armor/mob combination the decay on it can be cheaper then the fap decay from naked hunting. On the other hand fapping gives skills, armor decay don't. Find the right balance.

Log you're hunts, write down hunting place, setup, mobs, ammo spend, decay etc etc. On the long run this can give you a lot of usefull information.

But the golden keys to profit hunting is experience and discipline.

I have to agree I have always said if you have the skill to do so it is better to hunt with no armor choose weapon that best matches mob you are hunting and skill up on weapon do not use amp cause amps and armor or anything that gives you a advantage cuts back on loot use the skill you have to its max benifit then profits will come dont choose armors or weapons above your skill level it is a waste

Well I started EU yesterday. I started by sweating and thought how time/cost effective it was... It was crap in my opinion, making a few PED a hour is not my idea of fun or cost effective. If I make 5 ped a hour thats like $0.50 ? Yet working I make $28 a hour so I decided to just chuck in $10 so I could get a gun and armour.

I ended up spending 50ped on items/ammo etc. I was hunting the mobs around the sweating area and must admit I used 1500 rounds and did not make any thing back really. I am keeping hold of all drops as I do not know what is good and what is not!

After reading the below

Daikibas ... hmmmm PEd wasting pests is my opinion
Berycled ... hard to kill with an opallo with no great return
Combibo .. Challenge to kill but better returns than the above

I realized why I may not be making any thing... I was killing Daikibas!
Now I do expect to not make profit for a while like any game you have to skill up etc ( well most games ) and just because this is a RCE (real cash eco) it is no different!

i personally play around with argos and use maddox4 and some ghost and ek2600 and i do well... break even/profit each run

° korss 380+102 // korrs h400+104
° fap 5 - 50 in case I need it
° for big argo's (hunter and up) > Pixie + 5B / ph5+104 / fap 5-80 in case I need it.

As I am sure everyone else has said, there is NO combination of anything that will always turn a profit.

short of luck and longevity, the most consistent way to turn an overall profit hunting(or at least stretch your ped out), that Lilac(s) have experienced, is by going with low end weapons (opolo, isis cb5), a small amount of ammo (1-2 k), and sweat hunting mobs that can be killed in 20ish ammo or less...

granted, this is almost as boring as sweating itself, and is nowhere near as fun to us as hunting harder mobs with a bigger gun (why we'll never profit in this game).

sweat covers 1/4 of the ammo used for the hunt, and the larger (5-10) ped loots that drop about 50% of each hunt usually mean a break even hunt. occasionally we get a 30-40 ped loot, which seems to cover the loosing trips.

could we pay mothly rent with this... or even daily smokes? absolutely not... Lilac is peretty close to the level where she practically don't skill from it, but at the very least we're playing the game and keeping in contention to be "that a$$hole who got the exorasaur young HOF"

Tips for swunting

1: pick an area where there is a relatively low mob density so that a ton of mobs don't attack you while youre trying to sweat one

2: hunt a not very aggressive creature so that you might be able to "dry" it before it gets aggroed

3: wear pixie or gnome (goblin or no armour if it's snables) to minimize fapping

4: Have a fap that heals at least 20/use for combat, and a Vivo T1 for between mob healing


P.S. the thing that makes this appear to work, at least, from my perspective, is that i'm accustomed to taking a bigger loss hunting bigger mobs, none of the limited items i really care about decay, and while I do think i'm somewhat ahead overall from the times i do this, i know it's only a matter of time before i deposit next.
