Honk if you love Snables!

I was going to reply to the post about "what gear do I need to profit?" but then I thought I've really been wanting to make a post like this for a while.

I don't have statistics to prove it, but I'd bet at least a box of donuts that hunting Snables, especially the massively dense spawn of them north of Atlas Haven, is profitable.

I don't have the patience for sweating, so when I just seem to be losing money with other endeavors, I go back to my happy place North of PA and blast the heck out of Snables (and some Exars and Daki too) with my Opallo and some beach shorts, and time and again I do well.

Now I'm not saying I've ever gotten a global (although I did get 84 PED off a Daki Young there once) but the frequency of Pixie parts or FAPs or a few hundred muscle oil never ceases to amaze me for MOBs that can be taken down with 7 - 15 PEC in ammo (depending on maturity, gender, and a missed shot.)

Now admittedly it grows boring so I go on to other things. Maybe this wouldn't prove to be true if that's all I did, but it wouldn't suprise me if this n00b MOB was favored a little to get n00bs going and to keep them interested. Or maybe its just the game mechanics such that the smallest of loots are relatively decent when you spend so little to see the loot window.

Anyone else have this kind of experience or love Snables lilke me, but for another reason?

I had pretty much exactly the same experience when I started playing last year, for about 1.5 months I was hunting snables between billys and phoenix and did ok, but the low spawn was a problem.
I then moved over to the spawn you are talking about and hunted there for about 1 month, overall there I got myself a pixi armor (most of it) and a small profit.
Opalo+A101 was great for this area, didnt use any armor either.

For a while my usual trick when I ran out of PEDs would be to go and sweat hunt small Snables and Daikiba at Atlas Haven using an S40 to kill them when they attacked me. Overall I always broke even, and often without having to sell the sweat. That was using no armour and with enough skills to have very minimal FAP decay (I'd maybe FAP 2 or 3 times on a 2k ammo run).

Hair gel is a nice loot too

Snables just pwn...rather sweat-hunt them unarmored with an Opalo than go around slaying Atrax/ox anyday!

Willard Heatry A + a102 is a nice way to get the male youngs in 1 hit and level up some plasma

Like the big ones south of Atlas Haven, they drop handy stuff sometimes.
Little ones are nice for rocket and grenade skilling without much hassle.
They gave me most of my goblin armour without which I'd be screwed so I have to love them. Acid mobs seem uncannily regular break even or profit hunting quarry to me....am I imagining that?
