A Few General Questions That Newbies Like To Ask...

Instead of making multiple topics for newbie questions from me I will simply use this thread from now on...hopefully a few unusual/unanswered/hard to find questions rather than the same money ones that will hopefully help others too eventually

1)
My skills are weak at the moment for sweating, and newbie for many others...poor for a couple. Where can I find a full advancement table for when you reach the new skill rank?

2)
When I rise up the skill levels for sweating, maybe the amount of successes will not increase as this was mentioned to be capped at 20% overall, but will the actual amount of sweat "gathered" be higher than at lower levels?

3)
Where are the main trading points easily reachable in the game as I can only find the ones for trading sweat or is everything done over the auction or forums? (I like to be ingame trading as it allows me to see prices change dynamically rather than being a rigidly static price)

4)
Sometimes I like to train away from crowds as it makes things easier to see, are there any areas that have easy creatures to sweat, near to revive or teleport that are not used as much by hunters or sweaters? *anyone else reading, you may need a medical kit and focus to be effective here...*(even if this involves a 10-20 minute run)

5)
I have a feeling that perception will increase my ability to find fruit, dung and stones due to increased radius...of, well to put it simply...perception. How do I unlock this skill?

6)
We all like good fortune, but how to unlock the skill of serendipity and ultimately raise it?

I am sure I will think of more in the future, when answered I will place in a spoiler so as not to have too much scrolling to be done :p

(If other newbies wish to post on this thread to ask a related question please PM me after posting here on this topic and I will place yours on the front page here along with your post link and the link to the answer if one is gained...just please keep them short and sweet please, that way nothing gets wandering off on a surreal tangent)

Reserved for links to great threads for newer players

A great "small" site with one of the best guides made by a player I have ever seen, on any game (pdf file) as well as survival maps

You don't have to unlock perception.

Trading is a huge part of being successful in EU. Buying right is just as important as selling right.

As far as sweat selling goes (which every noobie usually does) there are 3 good places to do so. Two have already been mentioned Port Atlantis and Twin Peaks, the third is the best place of all (IMHO) to sweat: Nea's Place.

This is one of the Teleports you want to get ASAP because the sweating there is alot more organized and usually runs much smoother. Also lots of folks drop in to buy sweat because of the obvious, lots of sweat there to buy.

You should learn the ins and outs of sweating at Nea's ASAP as well. Blocking mobs is a big no no as well as bumping people who are in concentration and such. Training in more Ambus ontop of the sweaters will get you yelled at as well and learn to call out the dry ones.

Good Luck

Dex

Atlas Island either North or South (Haven is usually more busy and has larger mobs). At North you have lots of snables and exa's and at South mostly Diakiba. All mobs pretty much young and mature. And there are some folks hunting or sweating usually ,but not very many. For best alone-ness South.

Camp Phoenix is good too, not many folks sweating there usually. Mostly snables, sabakumas and bery. (but don't go too far south or you will run into cornundos and molisk, and too far east are feffoids)

It's far better to open one thread for each question. First it's easier for others to find interesting threads (which is also the main reason to put a proper title on a thread and not like the one of this thread ). Also if you use the search function it's much easier to find something and the posts belonging to the initial question. Then you should always use the search function before asking as you're not the first new one here and you get answers to your questions in one second (yes, there are some answers in the forums already).

Last but not least you get more EFDs with creating new threads
