Report from my actual skill progress ^^

Didnt play alot last days due to some heavy partying ,, heh

My skill levels

2058 rifle
942 marksman
711 inflict range damage
37 agility
95 hp
25 int
346 evade

due to heavy losses and only a budget of not at all 40 ped left im gonna try to do some swunting on ambulimax in smaller teams and report my gains, in those skills im watching, which are important to me now ^^
Target is to get level 5 Sweat Gathering profession, too, even its useless *G*

progress will follow, i may start to do bigger hunts again once i get more peds from some good ambu loots if they may happen to us

If you have no hunting news to bring your fellow peers you might report on things you learn from players more experienced than yourself. There is much more than sweat and PEDS in Neas.

You may learn ways to keep your Laser Hit/Dmg at an even level. But you have to ask questions to get answers. Some dont like to do that out of fear they may look less experienced than they really are. Some questions may sound silly b4 you ask them but ask them any way.

Hope you can bring us some news. Oh, I think mining for beginners is for depositors but I may be wrong. Some have "luck" as beginners but hunting first gets you knowledge of the terrain and Land Ares. You might like to try Sash's Neo Map application to keep a record of your exploits, It's in the mining section on EF.

Yes, this sounds quite good

As you may have not read my starting posts and progress report ima just tell you again that i already own an appropriate finder and have some knowledge in mining already

of course you are right, mining is only good if you will have a run with at least 100 probes imo, thats 50 ped for a start. you will have trouble to get 50 ped only by sweating ^^

as i said ima try some heavy swunting in smaller groups like sweatting them dry and then kill those ambulimax, but out of boredom i started doing runs of shortblade on the swamp camp in between for some extra stats.

had it already maxed in damage, now i gotta train a bit more for hit.
also i recognized this will get me some fast hp points as i already improved once or twice now doing this

as for what you said,, what would be the best thing in your opinion to do and keep them at the same level ? do you think im progressing wrong ?
felt those skillgains were good for roughly half a month played but im always ready to be corrected

Any skill gain is a good gain. Use your pistol more to get the skills even. What happens (personal observation) is we tend to get carried away with the thrill of the hunt and keep blasting away with our rifle/carbine because we see the loot window filling up. Then we might decide to get a Pistol. Trying to kill the same mob with that pistol can be hard (because the Damage is lower then Hit) so we might switch back to rifle/carbine. Go back to a lower mob with your pistol until Hit/Damage are at the same level.

Once you achieve this kill 40% with carbine 40% with pistol and finish with a Short/Long Blade. Then after getting to know each creature better, mix it up. i.e. Start with pistol then blade and finish with carbine.

Oh and dont forget to max out the other TT weapons as well.
It's fun to go boxing with a Berycled.

i am already busy maxing out shortblade atm ^^ more to follow !

also it is really nice to switch weapons as you said, even tho i didnt do it with a pistol yet, switched most times from my breer to opallo for finishing or to shortblade if they come close !

At your level and if you hunt with TT Shortblade is better to turn back at Combibo Young, Mature and Old... just use for protection Pixie / Gnome Armourset and you will see that the return is not so bad at Swamp Camp!

Minning is a big lottery... You need the "Noobs Luck" to catch a great deposit!... But this is not working every day!?!

H400 and P5A have a reputation as the most economic laser weapons in the game. From my experience at my level I can confirm this is the case for me. If you have a good income then there are pistols givivg greater damage.

And yes I use my pistol much more than the LR63 but for up to level 40 Hit/Dmg I am told it's better to stay even. And blades are way too expensive for me due to limited income. I am a depositor most times at 500 ped per fortnight but that has brought me a nice cache of weapons and armor over time. I did also once get carried away and got myself a set of Spartacuc and Rutuba...big mistake at my level.

Now i use Pixie with plates for most mobs and Kobold for Feffs when they were in game. Throw a set of Gremlin in (definately replaces Ghost) and you have armor for most occasions. Most of these were looted over time as well, but you learn from your mistakes when it comes to armor. Yet again it's a budget thing.
