If you manage to come down to the entrance level you will not die but return to the place where you started the misssion.

May want to add that only 75% of the bots on each floor are only required to advance and that if you kill 100% of the bots you dont need to kill the boss.

When you do a beacon run how do you get off once you have looted all the boxes and killed all? and do you have to kill the boss to get off the ship?

you have to kill the boss to open the boxes
to get off or you can run to the 1st lvl and get off or you can simply die with the destruction of the spaceship and be revived on the planet

guess so anyway
