If I may give one advice, though you may already know it somewhere in the back of your head, don't you
![]() Don't go to far with it, take it easy, and make sure you get 8 decent hours of sleep a night. |

There is a Society Terminal much like the Trade Terminal you have seen. The Society Terminals can be found inside the Auction Houses such as the ones in PA. This has a list of all of the societies and thier members. I am not aware of a good source for information about the societies other than that. The best solution is to speak to the societies leadership after looking in the Soc Terminal and see if they are the best fit for you. There are some decent "Cadet" Soc's out there that would be a good place to start your career. IMO, The most important thing is to find people you get along with, that are active and help each other out.

Hi Bobby! Welcome to EF and EU.
If you are still looking for a mentor, I'm available as all my disciples already graduated a few months ago. Since you're on GMT, like me, meeting online is a real possibility. I am usually online between 19:00- 5:00. Don't ask me how i manage to find time to sleep before heading to work .If you're interested, please PM me. Naifas. |

Well so far I've normally waited to do a daily summary but after my latest experience I've decided to take a well earned break and come on here to share it with you guys.
I decided that from Alice's Guide that I ought to go get the one TP I'd missed when I went to get Twin Peaks - Fort Troy. Started from East Scylla Mountains and decided to take the route advised on the other map (euforces.com) which was to head directly south from East Scylla and then follow the river running SW as far as possible before heading SE towards Troy. Basically on my first run I got caught by an Atrax (or Atrox - are they different) just before I hit the river. Instead of respawning at ES I respawned at Helios ("Pure Hell" I'll remember it as for evermore I reckon). Tried the "escape route" described on euforces a couple of times and ran into more Atrax (rox - I dunno). Tried heading north back to either ES or TP and failed. I started to get a bit desparate here I don't mind saying, dreaming that I'd never see another TP again... After looking at the maps (none of which are very detailed in terms of terrain) I decided to go for the "safety" of the mountains to the NE of "Pure Hell." Managed to get through these to the river running NW/SE in between Troy and TP. As I'd veered south to avoid various mobs I decided that the best route from there would be towards the sea and back round towards Troy. After what I swear is the longest continuous time that I've sat in front of a computer screen I made it to the river to the east of Troy. I was tempted to hit T to "cheat" my way to the TP but after this epic journey I decided to take my own glory and run the final leg of the journey finally making it to Troy and getting the TP that I'd initially set out to discover. I did actually learn that I can run faster up a hill than an Atrax, trouble is what goes up.... Another discovery (no surprises here) is that an Opalo and a TT FAP are no match against a rabid Atrax... Anyway, off to the sweat camp to chill out for a while. Will equip to hunt a bit later... ![]() Anyway, you'll learn in time the difference, and trust me... it's a good one to know. I've helped some people in the past getting out of that Hell Hole, so you're in trouble again, just drop a line. gl... |

Ok then, at the end of my marathon night what have I actually done... (after my disaster with Troy that is)!
Some guy escorted me to Medusa so I got that TP in the bag and another online friend to boot. (Took advantage of his offer outside the sweat camp). Bought a few bits of Goblin armor - can't remember which exactly, do remember trading shin guards for something like 1250 sweat which at least saves me selling the damn stuff. Discovered that using the TT FAP on other people gives you various skills Took up to using that outside the sweat camp while waiting for somebody else to heal me. Gained no end of medical knowledge. By the way, this might sound dumb but is there any way of using the FAP on myself cos if there is I haven't found how yet!Amusingly the original guy who I took as mentor spoke to me while I was on the TP run to Medusa. Asked how I was getting on and stuff like that and told me how crap my TT FAP was. Nothing was mentioned about me giving him the boot (a conversation I couldn't be bothered to have). It wasn't until later that it crossed my mind that he might not have realised I've booted him lol! Anyway, spent most of the night at the sweat camp, thought that I'd claimed my first kill when I decided to take out the Opalo and blast a nasty that was bugging me, managed to get it down to virtually no health then the cowardly beast ran away. Bob's rifle skills obviously aren't good enough to hit a moving target yet though cos as soon as it turned tail and fled I was back to my usual not being able to hit a barn door from 5 yards. Was going to test out my hunting skills in a more remote area just before I logged off but took pity on a noob at PA who was asking how to sweat and took him to the sweat camp. Then I obviously hit some wrong button and managed to make my game uncontrollable and had to ctrl-alt-del to get out. By the time I got back on the noob had gone - if anybody sees him around at the sweat camp then help him out and mention my name please. His name was Terrence TBone something. Anyway, not much hunting success but lots of skills gained so a pretty successful night. Bob |

Something I forgot to mention... I spent a bit of time looking for information on societies tonight. Looked at a few links I'd saved and at the terminal in PA.
Most of the societies on that I could find information about on the terminals were invite only or need 25000 skill points or something (which I don't suppose that I've got and I don't know how to calculate it anyway). I've pretty much decided that I do want to join a society just to get in contact with more people actually in the game. (I've only got 4 people in my friends list in game which include my past and present mentors). Is there anybody out there who might recommend a decent society to me (or recommend me to them). Bearing in mind that I intend to go down the hunting route that is. Thanks Bob |
