hi all,
we are currently testing a ventrilo for our soc, and i was wondering if anyone knows a winamp-plugin (or any other way) to attenuate music-playback-volume when voice-meassages are incoming on ventrilo. thx, HOF HOF!!! |

Not the exact answer you're looking for, but I use different sound devices for game sound and voice comms. That allows the audio levels to be controlled seperately.
Game sounds use my sound scard and go to speakers... 2 traditional Dell/harmon kardons up front & a Dell LCD monitor soundbar affixed to my chairs headrest for the rear channels, and Teamspeak uses a USB phone to which I've attached a phone-style headset. For me, it sort of adds realism to the setup since the ambient sounds of the environment are "out there" and the voices coming over my helmet comm rig are right in my ear. AG |

for now i'm doing it quite similar to your setting, but somehow i'd like voice-over-compression.. i don't like wearing headphones..
thx anyway.. PS: 3k EFD for the first winamp-plugin-programmer to offer a solution ![]() |
