nAnsterdam 2008 - Locations Thread

So it's time to set the stage for the meeting.

Friday 4th July:

I have two nAn members who I need to collect from the station when they arrive around 19:00 and guide them to our hostel by Leidseplein, I am not sure when they arrive but it won't be a problem.

14:00-16:00: Meet at a bar on Leidseplein, maybe the Heineken Hoek, or Cafe de Waard. Both very noticable and easy to find, and also both with shelter in case of rain, although I have made an offering to Lootius for good weather.

16:30-18:00: Food at a place of our choice, most probably close to Leidseplein as last year.

19:00-??:??: Live music, or maybe the comedy club...something entertaining anyway.

Saturday 5th July:

12:00-18:00: Meet at a bar / eatery on Rembrandtplain and start on a bar tour of Amsterdam leading towards the night-time hot spots. The purpose of today will be a little exploration for people who haven't seen Amsterdam before.

18:00-19:30: Ending near the explosion of restaurants near Centraal station to find somewhere for our evening meal.

21:00-??:??: A nightclub or late night bar will probably be found, although this will depend a little on Sunday's trip.

Sunday 5th July:

NOTE: The weather forecast for sunday isn't so good. Cycokick knows a place near leidseplein with snooker, pool and cheap beer. If people are interested we can have a big game of killer again, but this time on a snooker table. Any other suggestions are welcome.

However, depending on the weather we may still...

Early-evening: If the weathers nice and people are interested then we can go to Zandvoort beach for some fun and sun, nice little bars and food places there.

Evening-nightime: Drink, Music and food to close the meet.


All suggestions above are suggestions only at this point, any new ideas are welcome.

This thread will be updated during nAnsterdam to give a guide of where we are, but my mobile will also be available to call if you get lost on the way, although people found us quite easily last year.

Ah, the thread title says 2008, so i'll go for this year then. Only two weeks to go!

awww looks so awesome, dont think i can go though. I recommend Boom Chicago for comedy in Leidseplein for the Friday. http://www.boomchicago.nl/en/ i've been there twice now, saw "Me, Myspace and Ipod" and cant remember the name of the second one, both were awesome . If you get the late night munchies you gota stop off at Australian they do reaaaaaly good ice cream with hot chocolate sauce that will cool and solidify over the ice cream (again in liedsch) and i think their open quite late.
