In my society chat the other night - they were talking about if Phelps played EU.

I was more interested in the link that shows the US at the top of the medals league; bit different to the one they show in China I bet...just like here where China is top and US is 2nd.

But we go by golds and realise we're 1/52* the size of the US and also have nowhere near the population of China to choose our sportsmen from.

id be interested in where you thought we (USA) at the top? maybe for lifetime gold medals, yes, but not for these games. china has almost twice as many golds.

Totals...USA is going by total medals on there

By the golds, US is 2nd and Britain with its 12 golds is 3rd. In the table, Britain under Australia (and in your version 6th under France; with France's staggering 13 Bronzes and 11 Silvers).
