IQ is just like buying more lottery tickets... it should in theory give you a better chance (in this case of getting a higher income) however it doesnt guarantee it.

Lots of factors go into this, you could be the cleverest person in the world however if you cannot portray your ideas or represent them in such a fashion that enables you to achieve things then your not going to get there.

People skills, high IQ, confidence, reputation, managerial skills, ideas etc etc all must be pulled together.

Also, some people with a high IQ may also be happy doing a job they love more than one they may well be good at and would pay a large salary... :P

not at all. in fact many with high IQ stay in acedemic world for their careers which is poorer paying than commercial sector. the highest paid executives, a few exceptions aside, are not necessarily academically or IQ gifted, they just have the drive and personality to work their way to the top.

There is a definite correlation. But as they say, correlation does not equal causation.

having a high IQ doesnt mean you can do good in school and get you a nice exame which gives you a well payed job... conections in the right places will get you a higher place on the ladder

if I'm smarter than others, I'll be easy to solve problem while others can not why don't employers pay more to me??

that's the problem. high IQ does not mean smarter than others. not even more intelligent than others (even though the "I" in "IQ" stands for "intelligence", i know...); i mean "intelligent" in the broad sense...

the best definition i've seen for IQ is just "the number that you get after doing an IQ test", nothing else
