Ive been called up for jury duty

Bit stressed out

( In the UK )Anyone ever done this?

Anyone can help me calm down?

No horror stories please

Although those are sort of US-related ones, but would assume for the most part it works the same way here. Not done it myself yet and hopefully will never have to - really not something I can be bothered having to do. :/

Not sure if things are done differently... I was called to serve my "civil duty" a few years ago... There must have been about 100 people called in that day... I was at the courthouse at 8am... We watched a lame video about what to expect should you be called as a Juror... we were let out for an hour for lunch... and 30 mins later we were all sent home... No one was picked because either the Plaintiff or the Defendant didn't show up...

So that was my Jury Duty experience... or lack there of.Good Luck...

Not sure if you should tell people - if they find out they may stop the Duty thing...

Whats there to be worried about?

I've been called 4 times.. 3 times I sat in a big room for a day and got told 'thanks we dont need you' at the end of the day.

Once I actually served on a jury (trial only took 2 days) and it was actually rather interesting to sit on a jury and see the whole process.

Nothing to worry about I don't think, everyone I know has either been bored or enjoyed it.

My Dad got called up recently, but didn't get to do much.

A mate also got called up not so long ago, and he enjoyed it so much he volunteered for an extra week

Which would suggest that its more fun than work anyway
