I have been spending a good amount of time at this website recently. The organization/event is called TED which stands for the threads title. It covers much more than those topics though: business/economics, sciences/research, culture, arts, even some philosophical and metaphysical.
Videos average 20 minutes and each is a talk or a presentation on one of the above topics or close to it. Some of the speakers include:Richard Dawkins, Nick Bostrom, Aubrey de Grey, David Deutsch, just to list some of my favorites. I hope you are sold on the idea and check this website out, they are updating it constantly with more videos.
I was also hoping this thread could act as a place for discussion, perhaps those interested all watch a video and we can debate it and see each others thoughts. If you are interested in a discussion watch a video and post about it, the rest of us can watch it and go from there. If not, well then I will just be lonely here in this thread I suppose
