Because the area was safe until then. Portugal can be a paradise in some places, and that's why they left the kids alone.

I've spent many vacations in Algarve when i was younger, and nothing like this ever happened.

Its sad that it had to come to this. It was quite the loss of innocence to that area.

I hope she is found soon. Our police has been doing 200% on this case.

I HOPE that whoever sees/have her would have now gotten a personal "relationship" that would make them feel with the little girl, her family etc. from the news and by seeing her all over, that they somehow will turn her back. I just hope that nobody harmed her yet

Maybe the thought of all the money make someone leaking something.

What i don't understand is. When she disappeared, why didn't the police ask EVERY gas station in portugal to look through their cameras to see if there could be anything suspecious. The same when the woman told she might have seen her on a gasstation in Marrokko. It's way too late now

OH well - I'm still searching news every day - from morning to evening - in the hope for some good news.

On my bike this morning when thinking about it again, my thought was also; that these people who abduct small kids in ANY way are guilty in the worse crimes ever; Stealing the most valuable things in a persons life: freedom, the love they should have had from their parents and often the rights to live. Indeed, but not all kids that are abducted for those reasons. There have been quite a few cases of children who got abducted by confused and desperate people that can't have children of their own and just stealing someone else's child. I don't know if that would be any better, but somehow it would feel better if this turns out to be one of those cases rather than what we all fear.

The Glasgow couple aim to distribute the appeal poster, which features the Crimestoppers telephone number, as far afield as they can. She and her parents live 300m from my Mother's (where I was born).

The village green is covered in yellow ribbons.
I only hope they find her soon.

Such publicity not only gives the parents strength and support; it keeps every body's eyes open for a girl of that description - but (forgive me for saying this) it also puts pressure on the Portuguese Police to do more!
