~ Look for Little Madeleine ~

I know this might not be the prober forum. Then again it is the off topic section, containing other stuff not even this serious.

Little Madeleine was abducted from her hotelroom in Portugal, 19 days ago. She was sleeping in a hotelroom with her younger twin-brother and sister. Her parents dined at a restaurant close by and checked the room every 30 min. When suddenly the window was broked in and the little girl was disappearing. Thoughts about the little girl leaving the room on her own was later on dismissed, since the police could see the window was broke and has been opened from the outside with force.

I read about it every day. As a mother of two girls I can't help feeling the pain and worries the parents must have - missing their little 4-year old girl. It's so horrible no words can describe it.

I can't figure out what to do to help. I wish to do something. But I'm just me. The only way I can shout a little is through here - to people from all over the world.

Don't forget little Madeleine!

Please look for her. Please pray, think or whatever you do when you do it, that she will soon be back safe in her mother and fathers arms!

It is a horrible thing for any parent to endure. I do believe that a simple effort to focus some of our attention, empathy and positive support can make a difference, even if the people concerned never know.

Call it prayer, meditation, or even positive vibes, it matters not. It does work, and costs nothing. Do it now.

That is so true We often are more vulnerable towards tragedies like this, when we read their stories and see pictures etc. We should not forget any little missing kid in the world!

My heart is also with the little lost souls who meet an unknown destiny in the cruel and evil world we live in!

Everydays in all the tv channels they talk about that, sometimes between tv shows, any kind of tv programs, they show her picture, our police forces are working hard to find her, everywhere people pray and hope for news about Maddie, this was a terrible tragedy that touched all the portuguese comunity, and every1 pray for the day that Maddie fall in his parents arms, we all cross our fingers and believe for a happy end in this story and the guilty(s) have theyr hard punishment for this sick act of cowardness (or whatever its called/written).

It's kind of surreal, when you know it's that "close".

I just know how much space this takes up in my mind - and know if I was a mother of father to a missing child, I would always all day long think about my child - wonder how she is, what she is doing, what she feels or think, if she is allright, unharmed, if somebody loved her, took care of her, sang to her.

I can't help thinking about this little girl - how awfull and homesick she must be feeling. How much she must be crying and longing and asking for her parents!

It hurts SO much to think about it - but you need to think about it to understand how cruel this really is.

If you read or hear about this kind off dissapearing of children i always get sick in my stumachge. We had a little child go missing in our village last summer.
Fortunly after a search by the community she was found sitting in the local forest. She got lost, but the feeling you get when you hear this kind of news is real nasty feeling.

I dearly hope she (and every other missing child ) wil be found unharmed.

I'm amazed by the strenght her parents seems to have when hearing them talk in the news etc. The support from everybody seems to give them that strenght - which is why it's so damn important.

On my bike this morning when thinking about it again, my thought was also; that these people who abduct small kids in ANY way are guilty in the worse crimes ever; Stealing the most valuable things in a persons life: freedom, the love they should have had from their parents and often the rights to live. Including self-confidence, the faith in other humans and dignity.

I can't imagine how money-greedy, ignorant towards other people and insensitive a person who abduct a little kid must be - but also the people who use and abuse little kids for their own brutish needs sake. It makes me feel sick!
