First is Compiz Fusion partial rotated cube, second is Compiz Fusion Expo. Even though you can't see it from stills, my avatar is moving in both screenshots.

OS is Ubuntu Feisty heavily modified to work how I want it to work, Compiz Fusion is Linux only.

My kids really like when I turn on the fishtank option and make my cube transparent ..

... nothing like fish, whales, and dolphins swimming around to distract you.
