My thoughts goes out to all people in Tuusula, Finland, who experienced an tragedy as equally horrible as impossible to understand.

I so hope none of my/our Finnish friends were personally affected.

Hopefully the shooter will survive and be able to stand trial for the horror that he put his community and those 8 families through.

the shooter later died in hospital i kind of wanted him to live just so he had to be punished for what he had done it was obviously pre meditated murder and he should have been punished for it

The shooter, who published a film on Youtube the day before his horrible act, indeed died of his self-inflicted injuries in hospital.

In short: In his mind, evolution was fucked up and he started a revolution to correct the problem. My friend was around when it hapened but he's okay -- or at least physically unharmed. His cell phone is switched off for obvious reason.

Though, I'm glad to hear your friend is alright mate. Hope he'll get support to cope with the massive shock this undoubtedly must have caused.

Not too sad that he died, here in Finland the fact is that if he had survived, he would have gone to trial, and then if he would be able to live on his own, he would have gone through some few months of supervised therapy, and then set free, to be praised in the media as the "victim" of this cruel society, and to top it off blame it all on violent games like Project Entropia. Or the other scenario, would be that he would have lived as a "veggie", and the rest of us poor Finns, would have paid for his extremely expensive rest of his life living in hospital breathing through a tube. . Or god forbid, if he would have gone to jail for few years, yet again rest of us poor finns would have to pay him playing PS3 in jail, and eating his Christmas ham, yes we have nice jails. ...I am ranting here....but no... i am not too sad that he died.

It's so horrible. Psychologists in the news in DK says he was suffering from megalomania - and that he felt he was above everybody else. He obviously was obsessed by other school-shooting-stories and read and talked about them on the internet and tried to copy their ways by making own movies etc.

My thoughts indeed goes to the kids, suffering from this, and their families. But also to the kids not being directly involved. I just read this morning a Danish psychologist say, that this might as well happen in DK. Young people are under pressure, having this hanging over your head every day you go to school doesn't make it easier. It sertainly shows how life is vulnerable and very unpredictable.

What a great way to express oneself. His survival would have costed us and death didn't give him any punishment by law. Suicide was his own punishment.

I got no relatives or friends there, I'm glad about it.
