Just wondering what the going rate for a Vat 110 is now days? The last check was 3 months ago.

I've only seen one auction as of late so kinda limited data just looking for a little input on a price.

Well it's got more dmg/sec than an as-117 that sold for +1400 or so.
Less damage/sec than as as-147 that sold for, what is it +5500?

It needs a beast amp for better eco but it'll never be great on this gun.

As-117 with cause has slightly worse eco than vat 110 with beast and does about 10 dmg/sec less then. The vat 110 has 27.5m less range than an as-117 though, which is a lot really.

So I'd estimate it at +2000 till +2300...

I dont think its fair to compare the AS117 to the Vat110,
The VAT is special for what it is imo, its a rifle with handgun speed its great for skilling blp and rifle skills on med mobs and its rof 67 means you kill fast.
not to mention the fun factor a vat has. we have three in our soc and you get 3 people with vats teaming and its just a blast literally.

as yet i have not seen any (L) item that compares to it.

if it came down to comparing them i would take the Vat110 over the as117 anyday hands down.
have not checked if there are any L amps that will work better then the beast on this.

personally i think the VAT110 is undervalued for what it does, and i wouldnt think of sellling for less then 3k in this market considering the inflation on other weapons.

just my 2 pecs though

The problem is that it's "a lot" worse then a Maddox IV or even a Delta, with beast amp. It's a rifle, yes, so it skills differently but I still don't think it can go very much higher then what the M4 already is. M4 has about 20% more dmg/sec, better eco and faster rate of fire ("more skillgains" = wild theory).

Edit: Of course VAT has more range, but it doesn't matter much as any creature will do those 10-20 meters in a very short time anyway.

well its certainly not a good comparison to a mad4 completely different animals, but as you have already said one is rifle the other is not other then a minisweeper there are few choices to obtain the rof a VAT110 has so its really the only option for fast skilling blp rifle until a L version comes out, one thing i will point out is that one is looted and the other is crafted big difference imo...

Mad4's can be created by a player only limited by the resources ingame, the VAT110 has to be looted created by MA that alone makes it worth more then a Mad4 and worth having...

The Vat110 is not eco friendly at all but its fun factor more then makes up for that.

Yes, rifle skills and a very little extra range (an atrox will aggro you anyway) are the things setting them apart. M4 is still a lot better, though, and, as you say, crafted. But any hunter will probably not look at wether or not the weapon they - are supposed to - use is crafted or looted. If you really want a looted weapon, and don't care if you get rifle or handgun skills, then a FreanD Delta is still better then a VAT 110 in both dmg/sec and eco (also cheaper).

(Obviosuly I think I'm making more sense in those areas. )

But another point is what you intend to do later. If your aim is to move further up the ladder of non-SIB weapons then the VAT will probably be better, as the Delta/M4 are as far as you can go in BLP handguns, unless you find an Epsilon, which isn't that much better anyway. In the BLP rifle range there is a number of high dmg/sec weapons to choose from - the DOA series for example. (And yes, the VAT is a lot more unusual then a FreanD Delta, so that also adds to it.)
