Improved Excavator

Wondering what you guys think this thing is worth.

I know EyE bought one for 18k in March but he'd been searching for over 3 months and was clearly desperate to get his hands on one. There's been a number of failed sales in auction since then:

I know a failed sale on an expensive rare item doesn't mean it's not worth it, just that there wasn't a buyer around with the peds at the time, but +12k no sale so soon after an 18k sale says a lot i think.

So, any analysis on it's value? what would you pay?

Why oh why did i sell mine 1½ year ago or such for like 1k!!!!

I dont really think it's worth much more than that actually though. maybe 2-3k but then again everythign in this game is overpriced :P

I'm currently selling one so this could be seen as biased, although i'm seriously considering keeping it, this is not a sales pitch just my honest view.

I think a "fair" value is around the 15k mark, why? its in the middle of the high and low sale prices of recent time. in my personal view, compared to hunting items, for a serious miner its value could be much higher.

Also as I mentioned before, the improved excavator has had a stable price for a long time, it didnt get over inflated like some hunting items did I know several have been sold for over the 12k mark even as far back as years ago.

That being said its worth what someones willing to pay, and sell it for.

for me any lower than around 14-15k its simply too useful/cost effective to sell. I think the price could go north or south of that depending on how depserate someone is to buy/sell.

I think its also fair to say the market for everything, is (probably) at a low while we wait for cry engine.

I own one(for many years) and don't think I will ever sell it. It is far to useful for me and I can imagine that usefulness being even more for someone chucking thousands of bombs per day.

I think a good estimate on price is between 10-15K depending on how many are available for sale and how many are looking.

Its also summer so we do hit a bit of a slump in sales at this time and considering the economy stinks atm I would hold onto an item like this until things pick up unless you really need the PEDs.

Its a bit of a gamble but who knows what will change and cross over when new planets are introduced.

with a 15k peds markup one of the most active miners like me ingame would take 4 years to pay the investment. so i would say not more of 10kpeds value. if everything goes down like faps weapons bps with this crisis why should a imp excavator worth more

Sold mine back in 2007 for 3,6K, nice tool but you can live without it.

and that was when market was really more high than now. reading this in my opinion 7k peds is too expensive for it

Well I have several offers for 12k and over, during a market low.

I don't know exact figures but a serious miner could save a lot, especially when you compare to the markup of some of the L excavators.

I think anything less than 12k is at the moment highly unrealistic, as said ones did sell for 12k even years ago. and the market price never super-inflated like some other items did.

so for me the fair price is between the high and low sale prices of recent time.
around 14-15k. anything less is simply not worth selling in my view.
