Frigulite market crash

Hi there,

being relatively new to tradig, i am very curious, especially about the market prices of certain items.

the market price is defined by mytwopecs.com and peauction.com

However, if you view the curves of the prices over time, you will notice that there is some variance, sometimes dramatic variance.

in the case of the peauction value for Frigulite (ingot) I noticed that the price rose sharply until June/July and then fell by over 100% and it is now steady at 102-105%

can anyone provide me with a realistic explanation as to why this has happened?


Supply and demand dont dramatically affect prices that severely, there must be another factor involved.

People doesn't play as much in the summer?

frig was used in the first furniture bp

so after lot more bps dropped now..there are other receipts using no or other ores

so thats basicly why there was a big demand for it.

Newly opened areas of Ameth are flush with frig, adding greatly to the supply.

Of course they can. Imagine what the price of oil would be if suddenly a new cheap energy source was made available. Unless acted upon by some outside force the price will fluctuate strictly depending on supply and demand.

Exactly. The same situation as with Alferix. New areas on Amthera are teeming with frigu/alferix, and since only very few bps use them and supply is high - prices drop.

Price would go up if droprate was adjusted and/or new useful bps with frigu/alferix were introduced.
