PC: Rent a Landarea

HI all,

Hangar rent - Oreamp Rent - why not Landarea Rent. What you think about it, how much for a LA is good for renting?

Its a landowner interessted to rent - let me know

i have thought about doing this aswell. gl with finding a willing owner, i really hope you get to do this.

i think the same trick or claiming and then giving back the deed to original owner would work, but it could also be very risky. you could accidentally remove DNA which could be very expensive.

i must guess that the only way that you'll get someone to rent to you would be to give them 100% of the income back (minus fert cost ofc), because they would just be giving up a %ge of their normal income otherwise.

If you don't use OAmp, it stay in your storage and don't give you ped!
If you don't pilot, ship stay in hangar and don't give you ped!
So rent is interesting because someone pay you for using it!

But land still give you ped even if you are not IG ...
If you rent it, you should probably rent it LESS than the ped earn by it... that's not interesting!

well i guess the idea would be to rent out an la for a month, and run a month long uber promotion on the land with prizes, hourly comps, global comp with super p[rizes.

Something like that....

If someone has a LA that brings him 20 PEDs a day, he might want to rent it out for 20 PEDs a day. Then, the renter could promote it to raise the income by having events and such, but the owner would still get his 20 PEDs a day.

Another good thing for the owner would be that the renter promotes it for him, meaning that it most likely would be more active after the LA is reclaimed than it was before.

Win/Win situation.

As for collateral, that would most likely be something like the price of the current DNA.

The main difference here is that Land araes does not require flying/bombing - only restocking of ammo/bombs/fertiliser.

So in effect, you don't have to "do" any repetitive task. I'd be very very surprised if LA's become rented.

in a sense yes there is no real use for doing so, but i for one would love to, just for the experience of it, and just to say i've operated a LA.

and also RD mentions a good reason as its free promotion. who wouldnt want that? mind, it would depend on how up to the challenge people are.
