Does anyone know what these weapons sell for these days? Looks like a good weapon for my BLP level.

hard to say. but even at 100% markup it has eco of 4.04, so I wouldn't suggest paying more than 120% for it.

Let's not start comparing a rare BLP rifle to a common laser pistol (korss)

There's not really any limited BLP rifles to compare this to so let's compare it to a standard weapon that does similar damage per sec. I'll use averages in my example because this is the only way to compare L with standard weapons.

The following calculations do not take into account the effect of additionl critical hits using the M15

M15+beast does an average dam/sec of 44.57

AS-147 Mentor edition+beast does average of 43.33 dam/sec

The economy of the weapon will depend on your skills but I'll use mine as an example. I get 36% min dam and hit ability of 5.3 with standard BLP rifles which gives average economy with the as147me of

2.448 dam/pec

When I run these same calculations with the M15 I get the following economy depending upon % markup

110% 2.78
120% 2.72
130% 2.66
140% 2.61
150% 2.56
160% 2.51
170% 2.46
180% 2.41
190% 2.37
200% 2.32
210% 2.28
220% 2.24
230% 2.2
240% 2.17
250% 2.13

280% 2.03
290% 2
300% 1.97
310% 2.84

This shows I can buy an M15 for around 165% and get similar dam/sec and dam/pec as using an AS-147 Mentor Edition

If you have lower skills than me but still max out the M15 then you can pay a higher %


This assumes that your only concern is economy. Many people will pay a premium ontop of this for the ability to use a gun with the same power as the very expensive as147me (last recorded sale was over a year ago at 4.5k, who knows what they would sell for these days)

If someone is using it for pk then it will also attract a further premium (I don't pk so no idea how effective this would be, although I know the 10/10 will definitly help when pking)


ok, there's all the numbers now onto the reality. It's a very expensive gun to craft and components are very rare. The expense to craft means it's not going to be cheap, and the fact that the parts are so rare means the crafters are in no rush to sell (I've crafted 3 this year and sold 2, even though I have plenty of clicks). Because they're crafted so rarely the crafters are happy for them to sit in their shops for 2 month until a buyer comes along who is willing to pay the price - the only way this will change is if MA start dropping robot image amplifiers more often.

Don't expect to get one for under 300%

P.S. for instance, if you take it at 170% to get the similar eco as AS-147 ME, then using 24 of the full tt M15 will cost you the above mentioned price of the AS-147 ME. I do not find that reasonable, sorry =)

It will cost the same to use, so you also get the same in return. The only difference is you dont need to pay the price of the AS-147. Isnt that much more unreasonable? Invest 5k extra to do exactly the same?

nop, in one case you will own a piece of as147me, in other case empty hands =)

So you still have 5k stuck in the game, and in the other case nothing.

The 5k you're talking about was a sale over 1 year ago, it's probably 20k+ now. Not many people can afford to spend 20k for one gun, but 500ped at a time could be ok for them.

The stated % we're talking about gives u the same economy, using the L gun does leave u we nothing but using the as147me leaves u with a gun but u have also paid a large sum for that gun. If u sell it at the price u paid for it then again u are left with nothing.

yes, but a player probably doesn't want to stick to M15 for the rest of the days, does he? =) that's why I suggest to get as147me or similar if there are any plans to get over the M15 at one point. and the sooner the better because... see previous post.

Why would someone that doesnt want to stick to the M15 does want to stick to the 147ME?

Fact is, with (L) weapons it is way easyer to switch to a different weapon. You simply buy another type after your current one is broken. Only problem you will face is the bad availablilty and the limited choise right now. But this will very likely change comming VU's. It is in MA's interest that a large group of people uses weapons that cost a lot to operate
