a little whine to relieve anger

Just as the title says. You know when you get jerked over in game for whatever reason it gets the blood boiling, and mine is rather hot at the moment so you can probably just ignore me and it will pass

Seriously though, I would like some feedback and thoughts on the issue of actually trying to be polite and helpful to someone who is in trouble with a mob basically, pvp or not.

I was just hunting before the servers went down. I was fairly near the revive, and there was another hunter nearby who had two mobs on him that he clearly couldn't take, as they killed him at least 3 times and of course came for me instead.

Did I just kill them? No, silly me stood there fapping and taking the decay each time, trying to give him a chance to come back to them. After about his fourth death, one of them crit me and killed me, I headed back out and the one that had killed me goes for me again and is back to well over the 50 percent mark, actually about 75. So yeah, at that point, the guy was still at the revive and I killed the flipping mob as I had had enough of that 'fun'.

So, what does the guy do? He starts cussing me out for stealing his mob that he had been 'killing' for ages Then he starts shooting me. I didn't shoot back, just explained what had happened, that I had actually been trying to hold them off for him (not a very observant guy it seems). All this while he is shooting away at me, I finally said 'fine, next time I won't bother being nice' and left it at that, he finally stopped shooting at me as my health wasn't going down much more than the mobs he couldn't take anyway.

So, trying to be nice like that, only for your friends or for anyone as I have always done, or not at all? Is courtesy now something in entropia that gets you a slap in the face? Ok I shut up now, blood cooling down

PS yeah I could have probably made myself feel better by just taking him out, but the damn servers were going down and I couldn't be arsed

hehe... he must one of those few jerks in game

i strongly believe he must have bought those breerm2a recently and must be feeling as if he just got a doa foeripper.. give him couple of days he will then realises what he actually can hunt rather than survive from the mob he wouldnt bother to enter pvp again

well i personally have done the same thing with the same results the problem lies where they dont see that they are in over there head and cant handle the flippin mobs anyway nor does he take into account the fact that you are taking armor and fap decay just to be nice to him for which he should be appreciative but instead just thinks that you stole his mob, when its obvious from what you said they were just wasting ped anyway

Well maybe the other one would need it more.

Have not had that problem up to now. For me it was always "If it aggroes on me and I shoot at it, it's my mob. If it breaks aggro and wants somebody else, I did not want it in the first place".
Haven't seen any intentional kill stealing up to now, but in this case it looks more like someone was trying to kill something which was way over his head.

te he, yeah it really is just venting, don't usually do that but had that need to smack something you know, and couldn't cause game was down

In fairness, I have no clue of the guy's level or anything, at least one of the mobs wasn't exactly a piece of cake for me either, at least not every time, but yeah, in his shoes I think I would have walked from those two after a couple of deaths instead of so many, as a little light bulb would have gone off saying 'doh, too hard, too wasteful'. As a final insult to me, the mob was a no looter too

These things happen from time to time, and its a tough call wether to wait or not.

Could it be that you were both out of your depth, as you both kept dying?
Add that to being in PvP, and I guess this is just the right situation, for tempers to flare.

Seems the situation could have been avoided, I dont bite off more than I can handle, unless in a team.

Not really out of my depth DJ, though I am using a crap fap right now and armour not up my former high standards (I wasn't dying over and over again like he was, just the once ty to crappy fap and a crit, probably why it made me so mad, standing there watching him die and run back over and over again and still he couldn't do them) It's one of those places where you just have to draw a line about how far out to go in a certain direction to stay with mobs you can do, but hell, right at the revive area it only takes a little common sense really. Steer away towards the easier stuff.
