Terrible Behaviour in pvp4

Hello,

First of all I want to make clear that I totally endorse pkilling in lootable pvp zones, and I'm not one that goes bitching after been killed with lots of materials on me, comon its just part of the game!

After having said that, I want to describe a situation to you that happened to me yesterday.

I saw 2 G dots on appear on my radar in pvp4, and i ran away. Later I saw them again. They were not going towards me, so i said "hi". all 3 of us claimed we were miners, and we were starting to conversate a little about mining in pvp4. They said they were new here, so I explained what type of materials they could find here and what finder to use etc etc.

After a while they said they were trying to get to myrene island TP. Because I was in a good mood I offered to bring them there. We got together and we started walking. After a while I said: "lets get killed by these mobs here, we'll respawn at a revive nearer to myrene island tp". I started running towars a mulaak, but before I could reach it, one of the players shot me down with a supergun. I revived, and never saw them again.

Now, I know they did nothing against the rules, and that it's 100% legal to shoot anyone under any circumstance in pvp4, but I think this behaviour was REALLY rude, especially as I tried to help them even. I really can't understand how anyone could do this, while not feeling like a real bastard.

Anyway, I wonder what you all think of this, was it my own fault? Is this also "part of the game"? Or is it very rude of them?

Well, that is indeed inappropriate behaviour imo and I would never act in such a way.

But on the other hand, it's pvp4... Let it be a lesson learned, don't trust anyone in pvp4, whatever has happened before or whatever they say. If you see a green dot, just get away asap.

It's a bit unfair behaviour but it's to be expected. If a PKer roams PVP4 and gets tired of green dots running away from him what's he going to do? Try and prevent them from running by striking up a conversation? Makes sense to me!

As annoying as it might have been, all I'd say is that if you go in to PVP4 (or 3) work on the basis that you can't trust anyone. If you assume every green dot is trouble you'll not be caught out like this.

Either way, hope you didn't lose too much

But no need to make another thread about this shite on EF as it will only bring out another useless discussion about this subject.

Since there is a no naming policy you cant warn us who it is. So there is no use to the post at all but venting fustration which i can understand.

But besides that this is gonna lead nowhere.

Hello my friend ... I can probably anticipate that the majority of the responses you'll get here will be that "it's part of the game" ... especially being in a PvP zone ... but that said, I can also add ... that there will always be those who find it entertaining to be rude and sly in their actions without regard to how it affects anyone they target.

However ... it's also unfortunate that those who are trusting enough to be helpful can often get taken advantage of, which leaves a bitter taste toward being helpful again. I guess my advice would be ... to recognize that PvP is what it is, and that no matter how helpful a person you are in general, to always be on your guard, and perhaps play a different strategy while in this type of situation. I have nothing against the activities in PvP whatsoever, because it's expected, BUT ... to turn on someone when they have offered help, from someone seemingly asking for it, is in poor behavior IMO.

This is not a scam so you are free to name the ava and imo you should.

I think only losers use these kind of tactics.

btw, I'm not a pvp moaner. I have been killed (in lootable)a few times fair and square. Once by valygar I believe

The no naming policy applies to scammers, in this case there is no policy as far as I understand it.

You go into PVP, you can expect to be shot at. It is not very nice the way you were tricked, but thats life in PVP.

The problem with naming is ... it's against the rules at this forum! Sorry Hon, but I understand your reasoning for wanting to! However, PvP is what it is, and it can only be expected that some people will act accordingly no matter what ... and will also use whatever strategy necessary to accomplish their mission!


EDIT:

To JackFree (hello socmate) ... I think it's been established that it's pretty much not an option to name in situations like this because it sets up the community to be judges for an incident they had no part of ... and this only presents one side of the story ... not that Valygar isn't truthful here, but this is a dynamic that can get out of control and bring a thread like this into a battleground, or at least bring out some who would be overly critical without knowing both sides.

Hmm, I'm all for the "PvP is PvP.. cry more" attitude... but to be so lame as to falsify a friendship... what a nobend. They're probably a "user" IRL also.

Hope they get what's coming to them.
