Looting someone who just ATHed

Well its lootable PvP, the whole point of lootable PvP is that people can kill you and loot your stuff. Personally yeah, I might return some of it, but then I'm not a big pk'er. Remember the people in there who are serious about pk have probably spent a small fortune on fast long range weapons, armor like eon or infiltrator, etc. So they'll be looking to make good on their investment.

The ATH situation will probably never happen though. Mining would give you a tower so you should be able to get it out OK. Hunting if you ATH it'll be on Mulaak'f. And if you're hunting Mulaak'f you're probably uber enough to not be too vulnerable to pk'ers.

Hehe, yeah I remember that one. It seemed unlikely someone was going for a 10k fake and messed up, so I figured he just forgot them, and so there must have been some reason the guy was running around with a load of gems in his inventory. I tried it for about 6 months myself thinking maybe it was the great "how to get megahofs/items" secret.

Then one day I forgot and almost walked into pvp4 with them myself, sold them pretty quick after that

And I would give some back if I against all odds would win, but more like 10-25% or so...

And if I am foolish enough to be out there in the first place, then lucky enough to ATH... rest assured my next action would be to launch rockets at my feet until I am revived safely

for the few occasions I have had more than 20 ped, I have tried to find the person to give half back. but 10 ped is easy to return, 150K is something else...

I'm that noob who hunts with opallo. I would get creamed if I ventured into pvp. But if a newbier noob then me was there I sure as heck loot him.

I am not really a PVP guy, and as a result would probably be the "guy who looted 300K & got Looted" and so I would say "let him go."

Honestly, I have been into PVP lootable a few times, and have always been the one pawned.
If I was there, and saw a noob loot 300K, I would try and pawn them. After all, should it have been me, I would not expect to get out alive with the 300k, so I would "do unto others as I would expect to be done to me."
I might feel guilty a short while later, but would expect my new LA purchased from the 300K to make me feel better...

I would strongly recommend not doing that - you would lose the loot.

(I think, based on what I've heard from others in the past. I'm sure someone with more PvP than me experience can confirm or deny this).

Well since I am myself a miner that often does pvpmining and know the pain of getting looted I should vote no, but I know that if the tables were turned he should have probably pvped me, so yes I would have pvped him. Getting a ath in lootable pvpzones is a really thrilling but unpleasant feeling, an adrenalinerush that cant be explained. The feeling of getting away without getting looted is the best but I cant think of how awful it would feel to get looted .

I am not much of a PVP person though I can be found out in the wild from time to time-I also tried to help/hender in the LG so I have been on the firing end in a pvp battle. If I see GD I'm shooting anyway so for me it makes no difference if he just ATH'd or if he has nothing on him--PVP is kill or be killed period. As for keeping the loot well let me just say that nobody has ever returned a single dime that was looted from me so I would be inclined to return that favor and keep it all. I would of course make exceptions for friends and unfortunately I have from time to time killed friends in PVP unknowningly--when I did, I returned all the goods and bought them a replacement shot--again I shoot first and read names later so it is gonna happen. Giving back 10 peds of loot is one thing, giving back 300K is another-I would definitely have to be in the situation to know exactly what I would decide and my decision would be based more on the person I killed then anything else but I would return something to them. Might just be a toxic shot--might be almost all of it.

Well now you got me thinking... I would like to know for sure. I don't see how I would lose the loot, though. I kill mulman... loot it and ATH... I kill myself (in theory I would loot myself since a PVP3/4 looting is automatic) and revive. If I lost it, where would it go?
