PvP outside lootable PVP zone?

Hello to all.

I have a question and l like to have some feed back from all of you.

Would you PK some one out side the Lootable PVP zone? and why?

I was mining yesterday and run across a player that just PK me while I do mining, out side the lootable PVP I have not really understand his action when he speak and ask how am I doing the get close enought to shoot me in the back. The very famous person in PVP 4.

Why not? PvP is exactly that: Player vs. Player. It doesn't matter if you're lootable or not.

If you TP or run in to my radar range while I'm mining and start dropping bombs or probes after having been in the area long enough to hear that I'm mining there, I'll tell you to get lost and learn some manners. If you dont leave quickly enough I'll probably help you on your way.

If you're in a soc we're hostile with, I might pk you as well.

I suppose it just depends on you.. Do you want to get shot? Those that get shot in pvp areas aren't victims of some sort, they're just too slow, too rude, or a little of both.

I'd say he killed you to remind you it was a pvp area. If he wasn't ever going to, why call it pvp?

I had a similar experience today, I was finishing of a trox alpha and somebody ran up to me and shot me dead as the mob was about to fall. while I understand pvp is pvp this seems a kind of behavior that is a bit childish.

I've seen other people killed over mining in an area as someone else.
It's part of the game .. don't like PvP don't go there.

I, on the other hand, 98.5% of the time won't kill anyone for no good reason, lootable pvp or not.
I've actually only killed someone once and that's cuz he came at me with his guns blazing in PvP1.

Not even close to true. Yes .. some are slow and some are rude.
some are OJ's .. some are lagged .. some are afk .. some are underpowered .. some are underarmored .. some are mining in the area of someone who doesn't want company .. it's not as black and white as that, so go on with it.

Anyone who gets shot in a PvP area is just that .. in a PvP area.
I'm sure there's more reasoning to each PK that happens .. but I guarantee you it's not ALWAYS one of the 2 things you mentioned.

Yea .. see I also think that's stupid.
Even some assholes in the game will generally wait for you to finish your mob, then shoot you in the face
But then again .. it's merry mayhem.

I've been shot at only twice in 2 years on Amethera where it was PVP. First time was sth of New Ox. i was mining the waters edge and i saw the green dot swimming over (quicker if you bother to go for the bridge ). I was about to say hi when i got the opalo shot in the side. I just laughed and kept going.
Second time was just outside pvp4 as I was checking out the new areas around it. I think it was Helene or Helena, one of them, shot me once too. I just laughed also. I think I said something like, whats the point? Anyways it happens that rarely that if someone wants to shoot at me then fine. Whatever gets them off they can do it since its pvp. The amusing thing was I only got shot once on two occasions. None ever followed through.
Only a few occasions on hundreds of mining runs have I ever really been mining when someone else is ever close by. Amethera is too big to have many conflicts and it isn't getting any smaller either.

From a non pk'ers perspective if you are in a pvp zone not shooting anything then you are fair game sad but true....

Some people will use the non lootable area's to practice their pk skills and that to me is fine.....

then there are those who will shoot you as you killed your mob before you get a chance to loot it just so they can jump to where you will revive just because they want an argument........

if you are in pvp they are entitlerd to shoot and so are you so if you are going to die you may aswell go down fighting....give them a little decay for their troubles....

Yup, that's beyond pk'ing, it's kill-stealing and costing someone ammo for no reward. Not a good thing. The victim should know where he is, but the hunter should respect his position at least to that extent, or risk becoming a hate figure. I know in the heat of the moment people can see one thing and say another, and people get killed in error, but kill-stealing is mostly avoidable. If a guy's more than halfway through a mob, let him at least finish and loot it. Then kill him.
